I need help with a realy serious problem. My best friend, Jane, hates her mom. Not like normal being angry at her mom just for a day or two. She realy, purely HATES her. Jane is only 13, and she already wants to leave home. Her mom is a single parent, because her dad left when she was small. She doesn't realy talk about him that much, but what I do know is that her parents never got married, and when Jane was about 2 or 3 her dad just left. Her mom is realy, realy strict. She is homeschooled by her mom and spends all day with her mom. The only times she realy gets out of the house is when she goes to Church, or when she is at the gym with her mom. Her mom does not allow her to wear skinny jeans because she said they are too tight, she may only listen to Christian music, she can't watch TV, she is not allowed to talk to boys, and if you make her mom mad, she will cut you off and Jane will never contact you again. But here is the big problem; My mom and my other freind's mom are very woried. Jane's other friend, Amy, told her mom that Jane said that her mom hits her to dicipline her, but that sometimes she gets a bit carried away and almost strangles her. I don't think that it is abuse, because it doesn't happen often, but it is still pretty scary. Jane HATES her mom. She will do anything to hurt her. I'm scared, and so is everyone else. I'm worried that Jane is going to do something stupid. She doesn't realise how hurt she can become. I'm worried that the second she is presented with an offer that she knows will hurt her mom, she'll take it, and end up regretting it. I won't always be right next to her to tell her that It's probably a bad idea. Jane is a very strong young woman, but she is also naive about the world. I'm worried that when something finaly does happen, She is going to get seriously hurt, and she is going to drag me down with her. This is not about me at all, but I know that it will effect me. Jane is going to destroy herself. My mom has no Idea what to do, and I don't think anyone else does either. We are all praying, and I beleve it will help, but I also want to help, somehow. I know Jane's mom loves her. I will never doubt that for one single second. How does Jane get her mom to cut her a break and give her some freedom? How can I, and everyone else help. We can't upset Jane's mom, because like I said before, she'll just cut you off. Please, I need help. Thank you!

#1: It's totally cool to go up to a guy and talk to him. Surprisingly, guys are just as shy as girls are terrified of rejection. If you make a hint that you like a guy, he'll be so relieved and willing to talk back.
#2: It's totally cool to flirt with a bunch of guys cause it's not like your dating. It's important to have fun while you're single and flirting is the perfect way to do so
#3: When I guy is checking you out, obtain eye-contact and if you really like him, smile a little bit to show that you are interested
