Bgirl- all you have to do is go to that link at the top, near where the picture of the mag is displayed, that says "my profile" then it will take you to where you can edit your info, and just make sure you click SAVE at the bottom of the page. hockeybaby- okay, yeah. after I wrote that to you, on saturday I went to this party (a bat mitzvah actually, lol, woo! party with the 8th graders, haha) and we were singing and dancing like crazy (we were a bit too into it cuz our legs are still sore, haha) and my friends who were also invited cuz it was my bff's little sister were like "whoa, (me) is singing!" and I just looked at them and smiled and shrugged like "yeah, so what" and it was tons of fun. lol, that was just a funny night. my friends little brother wouldn't slow dance with me! I was so mad, he turned me down for another guy! but my bffs way younger brother (4 years younger) danced with me. he was so short it was hilaarious. anyway, thanks for the help!

M... i have the same exact problem! this is weird!! i know what you mean when you say that you dont want to stop being their friend, but if they are making you feel dumb or not being supportive, you shouldn't think that its your fault. If you've changed, and don't want to go back and be someone different(your old self) around them, then don't! If they say like " whoa, i never heard you talk like that!" just be like "that's just how i am" I think that if they are nice, loyal friends, they will love you no matter how you've changed or no matter what you do differently.

hockeybaby- I forgot to say that my friends always act like that. they'll say "omg, he's so HOT" and most of the time I can't get my bff to shut up (as in, make her stop singing the same one line of a song over and over again cuz she can't remember the rest of it). but if I do something like that they look at me weird and are like "omg, (my name)!!! you never sing!" which makes me immediately stop singing cuz then everyone I'm with stops talking so they can hear me better. idk, it's like they expect me to be quiet (cuz I ALWAYS used to be) so I am.

hockeybaby- okay so here's another problem. I hope you can help. so in cross country yesterday we had a hash run. idk if u do them but in my team it's a little different (it's like a treat instead of a workout). so four girls go out to chalk to the run and along with the arrows they write stuff that we HAVE to do (most of it's pretty embarassing but totally hilarious and school was just getting out so it was even better). so I think I was one of the girls that was most into it, besides a senior, one of the captains in my group. I sang the loudest and longest and danced the most during our "every time we touch" dance party on the corner (that's what they wrote on the sidewalk so of course we gotta do it) and honestly didn't care what the passing cars thought of me. so (here's the problem) now guys aren't the ones that stop me from being myself. it's my friends! I mean, they've known me for so long that they expect me to act a certain way, but I've changed. I mean, if I don't they won't be mad at me or anything, but they will be surprised and certainly point it out and be all "what's going on with you?" I don't have this problem with my newer friends (like my cross country friends), but with my old bffs I start going back to my old self and that is way less fun. how can I get them used to me being the way I am now? seriously, if I do anything that I never used to do (like saying "omg, that guy is SO hot!" or randomly starting to sing) without them freaking out? I really don't think they know how much I've changed. btw I am in no way saying I don't want to be friends with them anymore, I just want to be able to act the same with them as I do with my cross country friends.

M...- ~~~~hey i totally understand what you say about cross-country! I run too, and it seems like when i go to practice there's something different about my personality. I think its because you really like running and so you're happier when you are doing something you like! ~~~~You want to show you're true colors, and so i think you should not be so worried about what people think. If they like what they see in the real you, thats great! and if they don't, well then they won't be wondering anymore and you dont need them anyways! ~~~~As for being shy around guys, don't worry! Try thinking about stuff you like and stuff that he likes and then ask questions or talk about that ~~~~If you can find something you're both into, then you will have a fun time talking to him about it and you will show your real self luvv <3 hockeybaby55

hey peacegurl dont you hate that akward silence thing well i think you should think of things that you could talk about, like if you two have anything in common like sports or clubs and then when it gets weird you can say like " hey, did you hear about our lacrosse game last night? we played really well" or ask her a question like "hey, did you understand that math homework?" if you can just be calm and not stress out about what to say you will have no trouble being friends with this chick hope i helped!!!
