Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in such a long time. I've been super busy. I actually picked up lace making at a textile museum while on vacation this summer. They were having a hands on craft day. You really should look into it.♥L.

Hi! You have a really cool profile (we’re both bookworms, at least I assume you’re a bookworm…). Anyway, I take Ballet and Tap ( I’ve tried all other kinds of dance but those are my favorites) I also really liked Acro, but I had to go to a whole other dance studio to take it. Irish dance seems really fun, I’ve always wanted to try it! ♥L

Hey, I am so jealous of you I used to Irish dance a long time ago for 3 years or 4 don't remember and I was pretty good but then I had some issues and yeah well it's a long story but I couldn't anymore. Oh I miss it so much sometimes. I still remember some basics but I am almost 15 now so I don't think I could just start doing it again. Though every time St. Patrick's day comes around I think of it. I love reading too If I had time I would be 24/7

I havent sprained my ankle that soon before a feis. But last October at the Charlotte feis i sprained my ankle landing wrong during the right side of my first slipjig step. the fact that I kept on dancing probably made it worse But anyway I got my solo dress!!! My dance teacher was really suprised that I found it. It's a pretty recent Michelle Lewis and we got it for only $600 (which is really cheap for that designer). Oh and what music do you usually practice to at home? I'm looking for ideas...

Yeah, I went to Dance for Life. My two PW dances that I competed in were AWFUl. They were brand new steps and I got second to last place! Haha, oh well. At least I know what to improve on. I don't think my school does the grades....That soudns really cool to make you're own solo dress. I've seen some homemade ones and they actually look quite nice. I'm thinking about going to the Boise feis, how about you? I've heard about some schools keeping you in the same level for a year, no matter how many first's you get, but it does make you a better dancer. Is that what your school does?

HEYYYY! CONGRATS!!! U GOT D.V.C. (dance video consultant) IN A DANCER'S PLACE1!!! so basically what u do is find a great dance video (of anything u want, as long as somethings dancing in it ) and u can post these daily, weekly, monthly, or anything u chose!!! thanks again and congras!!

I wanted to go to the POrtland feis, but im still learning too many of my dance. I only know about half of each one. I really want to move up in light jig and single jig so I can drop them. Are you getting a used dress or custom? My mom said I can only get a custom one whem im in prelim or all pw. I'll porbably go to the two Portland feis' in September. I'm doing fairly well with placing. At the last feis, Emerald city, I moved up in treble jig to pw, 2nd out of 11. I was realllly surprised because my timing was off for almost the entire first step! I usually get seconds or thirds and move up in at least one dance per feis. Oh, im doing Irish dance for my school talent show, and I have to do this "face off" with some beat boxers! What dance school do you go to? I go to Comerford.

Yes they were found a while ago what happened was, the elevator broke into the basement and they were stuck down in the basement! But 3 days later they were found!

I've had to wear a jumper for a while. I just got a solo dress, but it's used. Are you still at the same levels? I've heard from my mom about the feis in Hawaii, but I'll have to check it out for sure! I'm trying to go to a portland feis. If I end up going, I'll be going at about 5 in the morning to save money from not getting a hotel room. What was the last feis you have been to?

hey cool, small world! I used to do cheer, but I'm not really into it anymore. I think its cuz my school closed and I really loved it there. I just can't get as into cheer as I used to at my old school, it sucks though, cuz i used to love it and I was pretty good. So your an Irish dancer? thats cool. I always wanted to try it but I was never really good when my friend tryed to show me. Do you like to read? I'm a complete bookworm

the nations capitol is also in july. for my trebles, i usually start with drills for like 15min. I can't tell you much about getting better at kicks and all other than practice, practice, practice! But I'm sure you'll get better

haha I practice under my desk at school mostly. At home for hardshoe I'll go out into the garage and dance (even though its rally bad for your legs to dance on concrete). But I'll just like stand around in the kitchen or wherever and go through the motions or if we just learned a new step I'll write the steps down over and over again to memorize them.

Oh okie dokie gotcha. What are your school's rules for when you get a solo dress? (mine is that we need to have everything in novice and at least on dance in prizewinner) also maybe your dance teacher has drills that you can practice for better technique? like how to keep your arms down and getting rhythms for hardshoe?

hey. i think its so cool that u irish step dance. i always wanted to but i did karate for a long time so i had no time. 4 of my cousins used to irish step dance. 3 girls and one boy. 2 of them even went to ireland to compete. one became like the north american campion. a few months ago she went to california to take a test to get her liscence to be able to teach irish step dancing but she broke her foot the 1st day but kept dancing on it for 2 more days. i havent heard if she passed yet.
i was born in january 97. so im in 8th grade, hhbu? ttyl

Heyy haha sorry it took so long to respond...but anywayy I've been dancing for like 4 years (I started in 5th grade I'm in 9th grade now) I'm still in my school dress but hopefully I can earn my solo soon. Yeah so anyway I'm guessing you were one of the taller girls in the summer recital video...do you guys practice your 7s in class? when we practice we do it to reel music and go jump 234567 back 23 back 23 back 234567 back 23 back 23 (that probably makes no sense...). I would say to watch your turnout and keep your knees together, also posture and arms, and be up on your toes more. What levels are you in for competition? The types of hardshoe vary with each level (slow vs. fast) and treble reel is usually novice/prizewinner and above for competition.
