Hey! Here's the thing about this situation you're in: this guy knows you like him because your friend told him, but you say he doesn't really care. For that more than any other reason, I would say that you try to just be friends with him. If he really liked you a lot, he would have told your friend so. Also, there are a few other reasons I see that show that maybe you'd be better off as friends. One, the "k" thing. If it's that big of a deal to you and he doesn't take it seriously, then he doesn't really seem like boyfriend material. Not to mention, you go to different schools, which makes a relationship hard. Things don't have to be awkward, though! You can still be friends, but decide not to pursue it any further. That would be my suggestion. Good luck! If you have any more questions, I'm here!
