It sounds like he may like you!

Ahh...the awkwardness. Since he asked you if you like him, It wouldn't hurt to ask him if he thinks the same of you.

If he likes you, then great! Ask him out!

If it turns out that he doesn't like you back, don't worry! The awkwardness will wear off, trust me. Just act like you normally would before all this happened.
