Hey girl, First, I would talk things over with your parents to see if they'd be OK with you dating him. You could explain what you like about him and explain what happened when he asked about whether or not you wanted a boyfriend. You could answer any of their questions and try to clear up concerns. Be very grown-up and polite during your conversation. If they say you can go out with him, you could go up to him the next day and say you were a little caught off guard or you misunderstood him, or something like that. To keep it casual, you could ask if he wanted to hang out over the weekend or something like that. However, I might be giving this answer too late. Hopefully everything worked out!
