I think it would have been a more productive industry if they made actual rubber bands that were shaped, instead of wearing them as bracelets. I get that they are pretty and colorful though. uh-ohhhhh im not good at this type of stuff! yikes! okay first of all, your friends won't think you're poor just cuz you have a small room- my room is SUPER tiny too but my friends come in it all the time and don't care!! if they're your real friends it won't matter. anyhow, about the space... gosh

Lots of people live in a small home, a small room, or just a small space. Some people live in a small apartment because that's all they can afford, and they're grateful for it.

Some people live in a small apartment or home because they're tired of taking care of a larger place and want to "downsize."

Others just don't want a large home. Small is beautiful! And easy, and practical, too!

But no matter what your reason for living in a small space, you'll undoubtedly have to make some compromises in your decorating, get really organized, and make some adjustments to your lifestyle in order to make everything fit and not feel cramped.

If you're looking for a cozy, intimate space, you're in luck. By using soft, snuggly upholstered pieces, dark, warm tones, and dramatic lighting, your tiny corner can become a wonderful private space.

But if you really feel the need to stretch out in your small space, you can make some decorating changes to make the area look and feel larger without moving any walls! With color, furniture arranging, and interesting lighting, your space won't feel so cramped.

See if some of these tips will work for your small space.

* Clear Out the Clutter

There's nothing that makes a small space feel cramped more than having too much stuff. Work out ways to get collections out of view, organized behind doors, table skirts, or on shelves. With things neatly arranged and out of sight, the space that is in view will feel orderly and open.

* Open the Way

With furniture and accessories blocking the view into a room and out to open spaces, a room will look cramped. By moving furniture out and away from walkways, you'll open up the space and make it feel larger. You can also choose short pieces of furniture like an ottoman, an armless, open chair, or a low table, and place large, tall pieces along a wall rather than out in the open space. If you can see the floor, the room will look larger.

* Chooser Soft, Light Hues

Whereas dark, warm colors make a space feel cozy and intimate, light, cool colors make a space feel open and airy. For optimum effect, select soft tones of blues and greens.

* Use a Monochromatic Color Scheme

Choose colors that are in the same color family and use tone-on-tone woven upholstery fabrics, textured wall finishes, delicate tonal drapery fabrics. Cool colors and delicate warm colors on most surfaces give the room a more open look.

* Coordinate Wall and Furniture Colors

Contrasting colors tend to break up a space. Pieces of furniture are less interrupting and tend to blend with the space if they're colored to match the wall color.

* Let in the Light

Any room will look larger if it's well-lit, either by natural light or artificial lighting. Get rid of heavy draperies and open up the windows to let the light of the outdoors into the space. Add more lamps or install track lighting or recessed lighting.

And my family is not wealthy either but the only reason i evan get to go to england is because i have a ton of family there and they pay for our plane tickets. And i have twin brother and sisters, they are three and it is such a pain traveling with them!!!!!!!!! they never seem to be quiet!!!

oh, no! i am SO sorry. i feel for you, girl! sadly, there's nothing you can really do if you're forced to do those activities. you just have to make the best of them. just be armed for the car ride back with music, books, and whatever keeps your attention off of Jess. as for being at camp, girl i am HERE for you! write me often, if you can. i'll listen to EVERYTHING you have to say and try to help you out! i know you miss your fam, maybe call them tonight, or email them! i'm sure they'd love to hear from you. if you can't contact them, don't worry, you only have 3 MORE DAYS! it might feel like it's taking forever, but don't worry cuz you won't have to do it again, EVER! write me every day!!! you can tell me anything! stick it out, only 3 days left, i know you can do it!!

awesome! okay, so you can do some layers, a face frame, or bangs! there are so many different types!

Straight Bangs
- The hair is combed straight down slightly around the brows.

Parted Bangs
- Parted either down the middle or off center slightly.

Choppy Bangs
- Uneven and choppy and add flair to the hairstyle.

Side Swept Bangs
- Swept to one side usually in a sleek fashion.

Wispy Bangs
- Slightly sprinkled lightly over the forehead

Blunt Bangs
- Cut in a blunt manner and come down over the forehead

Wavy Bangs
- Curled or waved before being swept over the forehead

Round Face Shapes
Your goal is to create less volume around the face. You also want to minimize the appearance of roundness.

Styles that are flattering and stylish: Try cuts that fall just below the chin. Soft, graduated layers are a great bet because they make your face appear slimmer and tend to remove bulk and weight from the sides. Consider wispy and tapered ends. These de-emphasize the roundness of your face. Bangs are flattering, but keep them long or side-swept.

Avoid: One-length, blunt cuts if you have short hair. Curly, short hair is also a no-no. These only emphasize your roundness.

Square Face Shapes
If you have a square face, you'll want to play down your strong, angular jaw. Texture, in the form of curls or choppy ends, does this brilliantly. You can also get away with short, spiky cuts and long, sleek styles with layers that start at the jawline and continue downward.

Oval Face Shapes

The oval face is the most versatile shape. You can pull off almost any look: short or long, straight or wavy. For your own most flattering look, consider your best feature and highlight it with your hair cut.

If you have gorgeous bone structure, consider an angular bob that shows off your chin. Great eyes? Blunt or side-swept bangs are a great bet.

Styles that are flattering and stylish: sophisticated bobs, bangs, long, beachy waves (think California surfer girl).

Avoid: Short layers that add height on top of your head. Aside from being dated, short layers can make your face appear long. If your hair is thick or curly, avoid a blunt cut. You'll look like a pyramid. If you have curly hair, short hair is generally a no-no (see "10 Secrets to Styling Curly Hair"). Try shoulder-length or longer to weigh down curls.

Long or "Oblong" Face Shapes
Ahhh, the long face shape. The perfect haircut for us is one that doesn't drag down the face, yet adds width.

Styles that are flattering: Brow-skimming bangs (I plan to never go without them again). Chin-length bobs are also ideal for us because they create the illusion of width. Gwyneth Paltrow's shoulder-length bob is very flattering on a long face. Just make sure your stylist cuts the hair a bit shorter in the back so it doesn't look boring. Curls and waves work well because they add width to the face.

Be careful with long hair: Hair that is too long like Demi Moore's can drag down the face. Long layers work best with pieces hitting at the nose, the chin and the collarbone. Consider a v-shaped style where the length is mainly in the back, while the sides and front of your hair appear shorter. Also consider adding wave or curls to the hair.

Avoid: Stay away from the extremes. Don't go longer than the collarbone and avoid a skull-capping super short cut, like this one.

Celebs who share your face shape: Sarah Jessica Parker, Ashlee Simpson, Liv Tyler, Giselle Bundchen

Styling tools you can't live without: A great volumizer. My favorite is Bumble and Bumble Holding Spray, I also love the hairspray Big Sexy Hair Flip it Over Full and Wild.


Heart Face Shapes
Your pointy chin tends to be the focal point of your face. Draw attention to your eyes and cheekbones instead with side-swept bangs (like Paris Hilton pictured here), brow-grazing fringe, a strong part and hair that falls at or below your jawline. Have short hair? Keep top layers soft and long. Long hair? Go for long layers that graze your cheek bones.

Avoid: Short, blunt-cut bangs and harsh, choppy layers.
