Ok so I wrote back last Friday and then again on Sunday..both times it didn't post :-( And then I've been super busy with the start of school since then..anyway SOOOO sorry this is almost a week later lol Sooo anyway how was Six Flags?! I am beyond jealous that you are still on summer vaca, I hope you are having fun and soaking up your last week of summer!!
School has NOT been going well for me, sadly. My classes are all really bad (ok except for child development..yeah thats about it) :-( I have really bad groups of kids and then my teachers aren't great either. And then I get home over an hour later then last year because of being the last one off on my new bus :/ It's all just been SOOOO bad :-( I'm trying to switch to a lower level (CP) for history because I got the hardest teacher and honestly I'm not that great in history and I just feel like in order to succeed I would do better at a CP level. But my guidance counselor is being SO unaccommodating about everything. My parents are so mad about this, they are like "why is it an 'unreasonable request' to ask to switch to a lower level class'"? Omg, honestly I have had it with my school right now. Oh yeah and no classes with the guy I like for the 3rd year in a row too...soooo could this get any worse?! Sorry I'm being SO pessimistic, I'm probably depressing/annoying you..lol Maybe it will get better somehow.

Yeah I am the exact same way! It's like all of the grades my sister has been in before have seemed like so long ago for me and she seemed SO young. But now that she's in 8th grade..it's like I could never look at 8th grade as young. I remember it SO clearly it feels like yesterday and we definitely weren't young in 8th grade. Haha, I actually started crying last night because it just suddenly struck me as so sad that she was going into 8th grade and that it has really been 3 years since I was that age :-( My sister always has the best luck when it comes to school and schedules too it's INSANE! She got all amazing teachers (none of which I had but I know from my friends) this year and her two best friends have every single class with her but one. It's like HOW does that even happen?! And yet she's not excited for school..she's like "I have a feeling this year isn't going to be a good one for me and that you are going to have an amazing year" (to me) lol And I'm just like "alright well that makes absolutely NO sense but I'll take it!" :-D
Yeah that makes total sense, you would really need to have a job or SOME source of income in order to pay for gas so I think that worked out for the best for ya
Yeah my sisters school gives them their supply list in the summer too..I guess that's more a middle school thing because in high school it totally depends on your class/teacher for what you will need.
OMG THAT IS INSANE! My sisters birthday is April 13th..they are so close! Wait so I'm a month older then you and your sister is like less then a month older then my sister...wowowow lol
Yeah I know!! I wonder if we were both at the doctors at the same exact time..I kinda hope we weren't because I would be REALLY creeped out if we were :p
Aww I HATE shots! I do NOT do good with needles they make me so lightheaded that I have to lie down or else I faint :-( No luckily I didn't need a shot..I actually haven't needed one since I was like 13, they said like after your 13 year old physical it's more optional or something..idk lol

OMG so yeah, this laptop thing is driving me CRAZY! There was all of this confusion with the bank and I had to get my money onto my moms credit card and we kept like forgetting to go to the bank because we have been so busy. Even tho this has totally been like top priority for me. And so we finally got that all worked out and then my mom realized she shouldn't let me make such a huge decision like this by myself and so she decided she would ask her friends husband about the model I was looking at because he is an EXPERT on laptops and technology and stuff..like he does it for a living. So she kept forgetting to call about that and then finally this afternoon I like cornered her and was like "I'm sorry but you HAVE to call your friend this afternoon or else I'm just going to buy it because it got great reviews and I have been waiting for like a month". And so she called and got a hold of him like 2 hours ago and he said it's a great laptop and he recommends it (yay!). So now all systems are go..I'm actually going to order it tonight..funny you brought it up!! It's not even going to ship until August 30th tho because it's back ordered (SOOO bummed). But at least I'm ordering it! Soo yeah, sorry I doubt you wanted to hear my life story..lol
Other then getting supplies I am prepared! Mentally and clothes-wise!! haha I mean I'm sad summer is ending but I am ready to go back too..which is good because as of today school starts in exactly 1 WEEK!! AHHHH! I hope my sisters right and this is an "amazing" year for me! lol I hope you have a great year too!! (:

Haha exactly! Wow you are SO lucky you go back after Labor Day! Does your town have a labor day parade? I know most don't but it is this HUGE thing in my town (actually I my street haha) I live on the main street in my town so basically my entire town (which is pretty big) gathers on my street to watch this parade which is like 3 hours long. It's really fun tho because ever since I was little my family has had a huge labor day party where we serve breakfast, lunch and have our house open for most of the day. So my friends come and LOTS of other people and it's really fun It's always nice to have something fun to look forward to at BTS time ;)
I'm totally with you!! We only have 2 mores years of school, gotta make it count
Aw lol I go to A LOT of concerts mostly because my dad is pretty obsessed with them hehe He grew up going to concerts and went to them all the time when he was a teenager so whenever my sister and I like a band or artist he gets tickets. My mom on the other hand hates concerts...so it's a thing we do with my dad.
But yeah I know what you mean, idk how my dad finds the $ for all of these concerts because they are EXPENSIVE!! It was so awesome last summer when he realized he had a connection with someone in charge of Selena Gomez's tour (or something like that) and we got 2nd row seats and got to meet her/get our pictures taken with her!! It was like, something like that NEVER happens to me it was awesome! I wish I could show you that pic..actually I came out pretty horrible because it was like in the middle of a heat wave and we had been waiting in this line outside for like 2 hours so we were all sweaty..but whatever its still an amazing thing to have done, and I'm really grateful
Ugh that sounds like such a bad situation with your friends house! Because it's hard to like say it's the smoke that's making you cough without insulting them. That happened to me with my old piano teacher lol I'm sensitive to cigarette smoke, my mom is like FULL BLOWN allergic tho. Like her throat will close up if she's exposed to it.
Do you still go over that friends house?
I've tried so many allergy meds but none of them have really worked..but I'm gonna be trying this kind my doctor recommended so hopefully it will work! I have SO many allergies tho so I'm used to it. I'm allergic to nuts/peanuts, cats, dust, pollen, raw carrots..yep lol
I would give anything to get rid of my nut allergy tho, that is the worst. My whole life I've had to ask about the ingredients wherever I go and a lot of the time just not be able to eat things (like bday cake at partys)..ughhh.

Yeah same here, I've actually ALWAYS had a negative attitude about junior year. I think because when I was younger my babysitter was a junior and she would rave on and on about how junior year is the hardest of your years of school and how bad it was and everything..haha She was really nice I don't think she was trying to freak me out..I was only 10 but that always stuck with me haha But anyway now that I'm actually STARTING junior year, it's like I'm ready for it you know??
OMG YESS that will be so fun talking about prom dresses!! I am SO excited for prom..I just really hope someone I like asks me!! But I have a good feeling about that and this year ;)
Yeah I heard Taylors new song yesterday morning! Haha I had the radio on in my bedroom and the dj announced that he was playing Taylors new song and that she had a new album coming out and I started freaking out and turned the volume up so loud..I totally forgot that it was like 7:30 in the morning and my mom was still asleep..oops lol Anyway I am SO excited!! She is my all time favorite singer! Did I tell you I went to her concert during her Speak Now tour in June 2011? It was so fun (: And I agree..just the name of her new album "Red" does NOT sound like her typical stuff.

As of now I don't have any plans for the weekend..my bff is coming home from her 2 week vaca in Alaska late tonight tho so I'll probably be doing something with her. Actually I think their family might be having my fam over for dinner because my sister and I have been taking care of their pets and plants while they were away and they mentioned that we could all get together so they could pay us..lol The only down side to going to her house tho is that I am SOOO allergic to her cats :p I'm allergic to all cats but I have never met cats I'm more allergic to then hers which is AWFUL!! Everytime I'm at her house I'm sneezing my head off and having an asthma attack :-( haha But my moms going to get this new kind of allergy medicine for me to try before going there so hopefully that will work.
Oh and I feel the EXACT same about GL..whenever I'm upset or have had a hard day this site NEVER fails to cheer me up! Its just such a nice community..I can't IMAGINE not going on this site. But I guess at some point u have to be to old for it..aw that's sad lol :-( We have to exchange emails when we stop going on here!! I can't imagine leaving this site before the end of high school tho..I just love it to much! And the friends I've made on here are ahhhhmazing ;)

Yeah I've thought of that!! It will be SO cool talking about the colleges we are applying too and be like WOW we've been talking on GL for like 4 years! Awesome! When did we meet eachother on here..was that 9th grade I think? And yeah I think it's so fun having an online friend!! My mom of course is totally against the whole talking to people you don't know online thing but this isn't really like that because this site is so safe
Yeah this year has some major good things to look forward to! Prom and drivers license!! YAY!!! (: I get my license in December since I am doing the maximum hours of drivers ed.
And yeah I was mad at my mom at first like "WHY COULDNT YOU HAVE REMEMBERED TO MAKE THAT CALL?!" But then I was ok about it because it did turn out for the best since my friend and I can take the class together now

I don't have any HUGE plans..basically just going to Lake Compounce this week, going back to Rhode Island for the beach one more time, my dads taking my sister and I to Splash Down Beach in NY again..actually that's pretty good :-P
My two best friends are FINALLY getting home from their vacations towards the end of the week so hopefuly I can do some stuff with them the next week (aka the week before school ;() One of my friends has been on a 2 week cruise in Alaska and the other one has been on Myrtle (idk if I spelled that right) Beach in South Carolina for 2 weeks.
Soo yeah that's about it!! Omg so the bus routes were posted today..it's so sad my bus situation for the year is horrible! Idk if I told you about this but my town used to have privatly owned busses owned by the drivers in my town. It was that way since Kindergarten and we all know the drivers names and have been on the same busses since we started school. Then at the end of last year the pta or whoever realized that our town could be saving so much money if we hired a bus company. So they fired all of the drivers in our town which was SO sad because they all lost their jobs and we LOVED them!!
I was SO used to my busses and it was great. My morning bus driver was SO nice, I was the last one on and he played great music. My afternoon bus I was the first one off because my driver let me get off across the street from my house where this other kid in my grade got off. I live on the main SUPER busy street in my town so no driver is going to let me do that now. I have an HOUR long ride in the afternoon (LAST ONE OFF) and the bust routes totally changed which is sad ;( SIGH. Hopefuly I have better luck with my schedule..right now I have AWFUL teachers but I'm going in next week to change it, FINGERS CROSSED that that will go well! 2 mores week until school..I'm more nervous then excited now, but hopefuly it will be a good year..with good teachers/classes for both of us!!

Yeah I know what you mean, I hope you can find a job too! (: And I know I am SOOO nervous for Algebra II...even tho Geometry was really super hard for me..Algebra I was worse, so this will NOT be easy. But I just have to stay organized, focused, practice a little every day and get help when I need it and hopefully I can stay on top of things enough to do ok. The only nice Algebra II teacher at my school (he isn't even THAT great) gives lots of pop quizzes tho, so it's sorta trade off..idk if I want to be in his class or not. At my school if you make an appointment with your guidance counselor in the summer you can basically pick your classes..I'm going in, in a week and a half but I need to like have in my head what I want before I go in.
Wow you're schedule sounds really interesting, digital photography..I wish my school had that! And CPR..let me know how that goes lol
Yeah, I'm going to .. next week now. That's awesome!! Wow New Hampshire, that would be quite a drive from my house..I NEVER go there. I don't even know if I've ever been there...I've been to Vermont so probably lol

Yeah ikr! My friends don't even have this much in common with me. My best friend has the most in common with me out of all my friends I would say but our personalities can be so different and we really aren't THAT similar. We just share some of the same interests..actually not even that many come to think of it haha
Yeah I wish we knew eachother! And yes I have one younger sister whose going into 8th grade and then I have my half sister who is 5 months old. But I still say I have one sister because, half sisters and my dads family is just so separate to me. I mean it's my family in a WAY but I'm not close with them like I am with my mom and sister.
Nor do I see them NEARLY as often.
Are you excited for school to start? Oddly enough, I sorta wanna go back this year. I'm just getting so bored..but I know once school starts I'll be wishing for summer back in no time so I'll appreciate what we have left!
Oh so I forgot to tell you that I couldn't take that drivers ed class because my mom kept forgetting to call and then when she did it was all filled up :-( But it actually turned out ok because I'm signed up for the class that starts September 11th, and most likely I will be taking it with my best friend who turns 16 on September 12th.
I guess that's it..1 week until I get my laptop!! This is really endless waiting for my last paycheck to come in the mail lol But most likely by next Wednesday I'll have it so that's good. I have to order it online tho..which I wish I could just get in the store but the only store that carries it (BestBuy) near me charges 200 more dollars then if you buy it from the Sony store online.

Ikr, having friends is SO key in so many different situations. It just makes everything so much easier plus more fun :-D
That opportunity to work at that camp sounds awesome! And the fact that you have a connection with the person that runs the camp, definitely helps your chances! Plus it would be so fun being at the same camp as ur sister (I think anyway lol) My sis is gonna intern at the camp I work at next summer too..well she's going to go for the interview..we'll see lol

Yeah, math is my hardest too which I think I told you about....I am sooo hopeless it math, it's really sad. I started going to this tutoring center in my town at night once a week towards the end of last year tho for math and that was really helpful. My tutor was soo nice..my moms going to sign me up to go to her once a week as soon as school starts. The math teachers at my school are pretty bad, so I need like at least weekly help in order to keep up. Yeah I know my classes..not my teachers yet or schedule tho. I'm taking CP Latin, CP Chem, Honors US History, Honors American Lit (english), CP Algebra II and Child Development 2 (sooooo excited for that!!)
That's my first semester schedule and then I have gym second semester....I really wish I had that first like I did this past year. I like getting it over with lol
Omg, we didn't go to Lake Compounce either. My stomachs been bothering me all day..my bff is sick with some stomach thing so I guess that's it.
Well..we both did NOT go to Lake Compounce on the same day!! woohoo! Lol..not as cool tho.

Omg I have HAD it with comments not posting..this is getting soo annoying!
Anyway, yeah it was a super hard decision because I'm so indecisive too! But I feel like I made the right one. I went to their house friday, saturday and sunday night..so I've been there for them. They really are doing amazingly well tho. The daughter is only 12 and the son is 10..if I lost my mom at age 16 I would be so devastated I wouldn't want anyone in my house! They are the most social family tho so they know almost everyone in town..there house has been bursting every night..it's clearly not big enough for so many people.
Yeah working at camp was the best time..maybe you COULD work at one next summer! Tho I know those kind of jobs can be hard to come by.
Yeah I totally agree about drivers ed being at night. This way it feels like it's not interfering with my summer, plus I like being out at night anyway so it probably wont be such a drag.
I hate summer reading too! And I've never heard of either of those books lol You're taking AP english right? I'm just taking Honors so I don't have any assigned reading. Besides to read two books and take a prompt about them during one of the first english classes. But omg I have SO much math hw which I think is ridiculous because I'm just in CP!
BREAKING NEWS: I'm going to Lake Compounce tomorrow!! (: Are you still going? We weren't going to go because we thought we had to be over our family friends house again but then we just found out they are going to Cape Cod to stay with fam so we're gonna go! I know it doesn't really matter we're going on the same day, but it's still pretty awesome we'll be in the same place at the same time! Actually we are probably going in the evening because it's cheaper to go after 5 (my moms gotta jump on every single deal like that lol) so idk if it will be the same time.
I don't have any big plans for the rest of vaca except to hang out with friends, go to the beach some more and lake compounce..what about u??

Sooo a weird turn of events took place last night: My mom was talking to that family and somehow it came up that I had to miss the last day of camp to go to the funeral..not in a blaming way or anything of course it just came up in the covo. And the the father (his wife died) in the family was saying really forefuly that I HAD to go to work today because it's what his wife would have wanted and that she believed that work came before everything else.
It was honestly one of the hardest decisions I have ever made..I was up soo late debating this with my two best friends. I was just so afraid that deep down they would resent me forever for not going. But in their religion after someone dies they have family and friends over for about 4 nights in a row afterwards and that is more important then the funeral...so I'm definitely going to go to all of those. But I went to camp..it seemed like what they wanted and it was something that mattered a huge amount to me..so I just went with that.
On happier notes camp-wise: today was one of the best days ever! Wow that sounds weird and bad to write considering everything that's going on..but it was great in a super sad sorta way! I got pictures of lots of the kids, and got to hug them all one last time which was just so vital to me lol Plus afterwards the interns all stayed for like 2 hours to clean up and it was so much fun. We had the most hillarious time (we really are like one big family)..it's so sad to say goodbye to the interns that are going into college and won't be coming back! ;( But yeah we did lots of group pictures, a high-five line and then basically all broke into tears lol Believe me when I say I'm counting the days until it starts again next summer!! :-( :-(
I know are lives are SOO similar it's crazy but in a really cool sorta way haha There is no doubt if we went to the same school we would be best friends..how could we not?! lol Awww I wish we went to the same school!! :-(
Drivers Ed is every night from 6-8. Sorta a drag but yes it will be great prep for my permit test. That sounds fun!!! And what book are you reading?? Wow, I haven't even started my summer reading..now that camps over I really gotta crack down ont that!
Awesome about Lake Compounce!! Yeah I'm still going but I think its going to be the week after next :-( We were going to go next Tuesday!!! Like I swear, it's penciled in on the family calendar and everything but now we have other obligations so it's gonna have to be the next week I think. But WOW was that close!
Yeah we had super bad storm/tornado warnings last night and apparently a lot of our state was without power..just not the section I live in so that was great! IT was actually a lot calmer and better then they predicted for where I live. I really hope you didn't loose power!!!!
I wish I could tell you where I was in Rhode Island too...I would try again but I'm afraid I may get banned from the site or something if they have to tell me one more time that I'm breaking the rules..:-(

Thank you SO much, you're an amazing friend!! Yeah my family is coping with it all pretty well I feel like...I guess it helped knowing for so long that this was coming. My mom and sis definitively spent the most time with her and they are holding themselves together pretty well. It's my sisters best friends mom..they just went over their house to help with things. I feel so selfish being upset about missing camp at a time like this and I wouldn't be so crushed if I had gotten to say goodbye to everyone (especially the kids..most of which I may never see again). But my two bestfriends who work there promised to tell everyone bye from me tomorrow..so I guess I have to just move on from that now. *

That's awesome about the movie theater! There's a movie theater on my street too...WOW I must have been totally spacing out before to not have remembered that haha It's like WAY up my street (I live on the main street in my town) so it's a pretty big and wide street but I can still walk to it! And yeah it's the same deal..really cheap, I think like 5 dollars a movie and they get the movies that have been in theaters like 2 months ago. WOW you can walk to so much!! So can I!! I can walk to BigY, CVS, this sandwhich shop, the library, the nail spa etc. Wow we live such similar lives!!
Idk, I'm actually sorta excited for drivers ed now that it's getting closer lol It's actually for 3 weeks for me tho :-(

Yeah I hope I have a similar experience with drivers ed I was going to take it with my best friend who turns 16 in September but my mom decided that she wanted me to take it during the summer so that it won't distract me from school. And I'm taking it in one of the towns near mine because their driving school is supposed to be great and the one in my town isn't as good apparently. So I won't know anyone going into it but like you said maybe that's a good thing.
Wow that would be so amazing if I met some great guy at drivers ed..lol thanks for giving me some motivation to go! haha For me it's every night of the week from 6:00-8:00 for 3 weeks...SIGH I really hope there are some nice people there.

WOW today was insanely busy for you! How did it all go? Yeah I know what you mean, I like staying busy in the summer rather then just sitting around doing whatever. Like I like my summer to have some structure to it so it doesn't feel like just a bunch of endless hours to fill. Wow I can't believe we are at the mid summer point! Actually it feels like forever since I was in school so I can sorta believe it :-D
OMG that is terrible it sounds like that storm was VERY destructive to where you live! Apparently a lot of houses in my state were without power too but not so much my town. I can't believe the hospital you work at was struck by lightening. Everyone was ok right?
Yeah the storm was SO short here too but super strong with LOUD thunder and lots of lightening. Lightening came SO close to hitting my best friends house..and sister and I saw a huge streak like land in our backyard. It was pretty intense haha
Do you have any plans for the weekend? I was going to go to Rhode Island tomorrow to go to the beach and this festival thing with my fam but now I caught a cold so I'm not sure if we're doing that :-( EVERYONE (well almost everyone) at my camp is sick with the same thing right now. Like all my friends and I have a soar throat and cold..plus a lot of the teachers and kids..so not fun. But we might go there on Sunday if not tomorrow..I'm not to sick just sorta worn out so I hope I recover quick lol
