Hi, how are you? I'm doing quite well. What are your practice routines? I need some ideas, because I've been having a little bit of trouble with my trebles. My teacher is having us "start" with treble switches (like treble reel is what she said [to prepare us for it]), but I learned with treble steps, and now I'm having a really hard time adjusting to doing it right, because it feels wrong to not kick my bottom, and then when I remember, I sometimes do them wrong and then kick myself. I've been doing better at remembering, but now she wants us to pick our feet up to our shin, do the switches quite well and do it to a song maybe 5 beats per min. slower than Trad. Speed. HELP!!

I don't think I'm going to the Nation's Capitol feis, because I live in Washington, and my parents don't like going far for feisanna (they don't even want to go to Portland), but I wish I could go. What weekend is it? Because my school also has one in July (Dance for Life), and if it doesn't coincide with that feis, I could try to convince them (I have been saving up for a new iPod, but I could try to get a plane ticket round-trip to the feis).

Hey!!!! I Irish Dance, and I just got into Novice! Like, last weekend, at Emerald City Feis I got 2nd place in my reel, and so I get to move up to Novice! (Cuz I was beg. 2) But now I need a school dress. $650. Ouch. But my parents are trying to make it work. I could just sew it but it's not a solo dress that I can wear, it's the school dress.

I have had people tell me to eat junk food to gain weight! But I have found lately that eating at least 3 healthy meals a day you can gain a little weight. By doing this in 2 months I have gained 10 pounds! I am so proud of myself and I feel good for the first time a a long time! So whats up?

Hey! I saw your mod about needing a fancy dress. Well I have been searching for dresses for months now to wear at boarding school and I know where to find them!

If you're thinking really fancy and you have a LOT of money to spend, you can go to Anthropologie or White House Black Market. Or, you can go to DEB's, which has prom dresses, but also just fancy ones. Macy's will definitely have something, too. Bloomingdales and Nordstrom are other good department stores. Another idea is that if you have a downtown area where you live, look for a boutique! A lot of those dresses are adorable.
