Babysitting is great to make money! Yard work is needed in the Fall too (lots of leaves people don't want in their yard). Also you could have a yard/garage sale. Or sell some things on Craigslist!

Hey girly,
Ok first off, yes, I think you should tell your mom. And I think you shouldn't be friends with girl. People who treat you like that should not be called and/or considered a friend. And if your mom knows her mom maybe your mom can tell her mom that you really are sick. If things get worse definitely tell your mom about it. She has no right to threaten or scare you. For now try to relax and know you're ok and you can talk to people if things get bad. Good luck girl, hope everything gets better! Hope you get better too!

I love auditions so much!! My last audition was almost a month ago for the school musical and my next is in January for a performing arts school! Haha,that is so cool!(we started school at the same time) I have had homework galore,I am also in Student Council and another thing.I have been practicing basketball(my favorite sport) a ton.And my birthday is tomorrow(October 9th) so I have been either to busy,to excited,or just plain forgot about it to write you back.Sorry about that! Anyway,my school is really small(KG-8th grade,and doesn't have a high school) so we don't have choir or band,which stinks. What about you?

That's good about your arthritis (: I'm sorry your sick!! OMG I just got to miss school yesterday because I was shadowing my first ever high school! Jeezums I'm so excited for HS!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm not in choir, but I was in a competitive choir outside of school for five-six years, my school only has one in the spring and that takes up your only elective, plus my mom is the teacher, soooo.... haha! But I love singing and I love acting, my middle school is doing Footloose for our musical this year and I am Ariel!! (look it up if you haven't seen the movie/play it's soooo good!!) Ya!

I tend to worry a lot too. But guess what? People don't think about those things half as much as you do! And most likely you're the only one thinking about it. If you're confident people will see you that way and it'll be much easier to relax. They probably worry about those types of things all the time too. I've told girls that their eyes are pretty. It isn't gay. It's a compliment! That girl probably didn't think about it afterwards anyways. Relax girl... people don't spend that much time judging and if they do, that's their problem... it means their insecure and have nothing better to do then to make fun of little things.

Fun easy hairstyles!!!
Okay I think the epitome of beautiful hairstyles is the French braid. So you should totally learn how! There's a fab article on GL that teaches you. http://www.girlslife.com/post/2011/08/05/How-To-French-braid.aspx
French-braided messy bun- You start French braiding at one side of your head, then stop when you get to the other side and pull into a bun!
Fishtail braid- Split hair into 2 sections. Take a thin piece from the outside of the left section and cross it to the inside of the right. Do the same for the right section and repeat. It takes practice to get it right!
Start with wavy hair. Take a thick piece from the front and simply twist until you reach the back of your head. Do the same with the other side. Place an elastic where the twists meet.
Topknot- all you do is put your head upside down and brush your hair into a ponytail on top of your head. The last time you pull the hair through the elastic, only pull it halfway through. Then bobby pin pieces down until it looks good
Braided bun- Put your hair into a high bun, but pull out an inch-thick section. Braid the section and then put it around the base of the bun. Bobby pin it in place.
Waves with bow- Start with curly or wavy hair. Take a big section from the front on both sides and sweep it back (half-up, half-down style). In the middle of your head, put the two sections in a pony together, but pull it halfway through the last time. Split the bun in half. Take the piece hanging out of the bun, and pull it over the middle of the two halves. Wrap it around and bobby pin! It should look like a bow ;)
Fancy pony- Make a pony. Tug on in to make a little opening before the elastic. Pull the pony through the hole and viola!

actually just last week my mom took me my sis and my best friend to go volunteer at a new library that was opening up in our neighborhood.but near the end of the day the funniest thing happened...me and my best friend were taking the trash out of all the rooms and then we asked the owner of the library where to take it. he said to follow him to the very back outside and we took out the trash while he held the door for us. when we came back inside the owner had looked at my t shirt which said the name of my school on it and asked me if me and my best friend went there. we both said yes and he asked us if we knew an eighth grader named Marcus that goes there. Immediately I gasped because he asked if I knew my crush and had told the owner that I liked him. He told me "really" and said that he was a good friend and that he was just there on Thursday. (it was a Saturday) then he told me that his dad is the one that helped him build the library. then he told me that he would talk to marcus!

One of my best friends plays softball!! I'm so sorry to hear about your arthritis!! That sounds really tough :/ The two high schools I'm applying to this year both have swim teams, but one is in the morning before school and the other is after school I realllly hope I go to THAT high school lol!! I have been swimming for five years now, but I only just started diving this past summer and it's so much fun!! <3 I like water sports, no sweating and you get to wear a swim suit all year long haha!!

First of all she doesn't sound like a very good best friend. But you know why anyone would do that? Because their insecure. And of course you're going to embarrassed. But after you've calmed down, you need to confront this chica. Tell her that it wasn't cool at all that she made up a huge lie about you. Either tell her face-to-face, email her or call her. Don't do this over text, IM or FB. Be honest. Hopefully the talk will go well and you guys can work things out. If not stay away from her for a little while. And if she does something like that more than once it's time to reconsider this friendship. Good luck hon.

Aww that sucks!! Sorry you're so stressed out, junior high is a loootttt different then elementary, I was pretty stressed out last year too!! I had to stay home yesterday and today because I am sooo sick!! I threw up 16 times yesterday in 12 hours! (( ugh! School is going okay so far, the only thing that sucks is that we're required to take Spanish and the Spanish teacher is sooooo mean! I don't really love my math teacher either, but my LA and Science teachers are awesome! And do you mean the 17 Writing Contest? Of course you can! So the rules are pretty much, you have to write a fictional story under 500 words. You can enter up until like December. The only problem is that you have to be thirteen years old or older. Idk if you're 12 or 13, but I really hope you can enter!! If you do enter, I'll definitely heart your story!

Hey! I read your question on my profile and I had the SAME EXACT hair problem like you. All I do is i would throw my hair up in messy buns,or cute side braids,etc. that's just 'cause I'm a lazy person...lolXD but what you can also do is braid your hair at night sleep in your braid when slightly damp or fully dry, wake up the next morning and VIOLA beautiful beach waves at your finger tips. You can also pin up your bangs to the side,sppray in some leave-in conditioner 2 to make them extra soft(hairspray won't make them touchable)

Hey girl, I've got some advice for your question which you posted on my profile.

1. Just be honest with him, you deserve to have a sweet AND respectful guy. Tell him that he has been acting rude to your friends. Be gentle, he may have been nervous being around you, so he might have done some unnatural things. (being rude). Ask him to please stop, and if he really cares about you, then he will.

2. Spend more time with him, as friends first. Look out for signals, such as him gazing at you.

The next time you guys are hanging out, and it gets quiet, touch his arm lightly. He might respond. If he doesn't, then he EITHER:
doesn't have the same feelings you do, OR
he's too shy right now. So give him some time! If you guys get reaaaally close (as friends), then you can try just telling him that you like him. IF YOU ARE BEST FRIENDS, HE WON'T DISS YOU FOR TELLING HIM THAT YOU LIKE HIM.
If he does, he isn't the right guy for you. Good luck!

I started 7th grade August 18(two thursdays ago).I am super busy.I don't have time to do anything on the computer until the weekends,because I get off the bus at and am hot,sweaty,and in need of a shower(i have gym last hour....When it's like,you know, 106 to 109.I was wringing sweat out of my hair yesterday.Gross,yes) I have three-two younger sisters and a brother. I am(unfortunately)the oldest =P
