Hey Girl! I am so sorry it took me so long to respond, but dont worry, I can still help! My hair is totally curly, but what you and i have in common is a totally natural, beautiful wave to our hair. before thinking about straightening, i would first suggest you find a routine that suites your hair, and makes it look its best, so you dont have to straighten! Use lots of conditioner is my first trick, and dont be afraid to skip on the shampoo every other day. This will help loose frizz, and cause your hair to lay flater and behave. Also, dont take a brush to your hair quite so often, use a wide toothed comb and conditioner to get out tangles in the shower, then if you need to when your styling, minimally use your brush. Find products that use lots of moisture and minimal chemicals, and ditch a stylist who wants to straighten your hair for one who understands your texture. For style ideas, you can do a side pony tail, braid your hair back to the side, and a fabric flower clip looks beautiful in girls with natural waves. Hope i could help.
