Hey Girl! I am so sorry it took me so long to respond, but dont worry, I can still help! My hair is totally curly, but what you and i have in common is a totally natural, beautiful wave to our hair. before thinking about straightening, i would first suggest you find a routine that suites your hair, and makes it look its best, so you dont have to straighten! Use lots of conditioner is my first trick, and dont be afraid to skip on the shampoo every other day. This will help loose frizz, and cause your hair to lay flater and behave. Also, dont take a brush to your hair quite so often, use a wide toothed comb and conditioner to get out tangles in the shower, then if you need to when your styling, minimally use your brush. Find products that use lots of moisture and minimal chemicals, and ditch a stylist who wants to straighten your hair for one who understands your texture. For style ideas, you can do a side pony tail, braid your hair back to the side, and a fabric flower clip looks beautiful in girls with natural waves. Hope i could help. If you need more than this, look for the book CURLY GIRL, by Lorraine Massey. It can give you the lowdown on how to treat your hair!

hey gurl i saw ur post on doing tight curls i just did this last nite so ik how it works what you do is use curlers (the ones that make u look like an old lady wen u put them in!) and you put them in THEN take a spray bottle and soak you air or almost soak them wait until they are dry then take them out adn brush through with a comb (super wide tooth) they should be semi curly (btw just so u kno my air is semi thick semi wavy and is semi dry semi greasy)
