That's not fair of the school all kids should get an equal opportunity to get in though your upper class man should be favored since they have less time at the school. Just try something else until then, or you can pursue the school issue and maybe make a difference. (Also you can find places to perform (or other activities) out of school) bummer about the Valentine thing, yeah Valentine is that one holiday that makes people feel more alone then they actually are.;)
So what instrument do you play? Or were you singing for your school's musical?

I'm going to an online school now. Why? My parents believe it is easier for me because, at the school I was going to my grades all sucked. I haven't seen any of my friends since I left my other school which was last month. Good thing is, I have good grades, can wake up later then most kids, I don't have to go through 9 hours of starving myself because I forget to bring money or snacks, I can wear what I want, I can go to the bathroom whenever, I can watch T.V. and text whenever I want, etc.
Bad things: lack of communication with anyone, I'm holed up in my house all the time, I can't go any where with out permission, I never have time to hang out with friends, my only communication with my friends is through text and face book, I don't get to date and wouldn't dare go out with a guy since my mom would have to drive, and it's easier to get behind in this school, etc.
How's school for you?

Hey, pageantprincess411! I saw that you posted on one of the advice columns that u will give advice ASAP! and i cud really use some right now. So this guy at my school told me he likes me (we are texting) and i do too, so i texted back saying i did too. we were friends but didnt know each other that well so we started to text and talk at school a lot but for some reason he just stopped texting me out of nowhere and hardly talks to me in person, but in FCA ( aclub at school), he stared at me the whole time! i see him looking at me a lot and rarely talks to me anymore. I'm confused! will he talk to me again? Help!!! thx love sarah <3 )

Hey!
I saw you needed help with your height of your jumps. I was the exact same way with my toe touches! Here's some things you can try:
1. Really plie (bend your legs) before your jump so you'll spring up.
2. Find a sturdy item thats about a foot off the ground and practice jumping up onto that. (Make sure there is NOTHING that you could fall into behind you!)
3. Practice on a trampoline

You'll be fine! haha Highschool really isn't that bad. Most of the time the older kids are nice and teachers understand that this is new to you. I've been really busy this summer so I wish I had like another week to just relax before school starts. I feel like I'm rushing back into school and I haven't even gotten a break since last year.

I'm sorry that you have no friends in your classes! It's easy to make friends in high school though, surprisingly. I hope your first day goes great!

School has been GREAT for me. I love all my classes. Especially Newspaper... it's so fun!

yup, extremely catholic. we have a school mass every month and we have first communion and confirmation. our two big events. and our churuch is rite across from our school.
and who said that you cant flirt at church. its way funner to flirt at church then any place else. lol. not that i would know....
and they were everywhere. i talked to a group of five guys. they asked for my number and i was like, na i rather not get paid extra for out of country calls. lol.
then they figured out i was foreign and it was kind of awkward after so i left to go hang out with my cousins.

omg sounds like so much fun. for our school it is really dressy and there are all these meetings before hand. there is no after party we just go home and then wait for grad.

Tip of the Day: Fashion on a Budget
Do you invision yourself winning "Best Dressed" or rocking the hallways in adorable clothes this year? I do too, but looking good can cost a lot. Here are two ideas to get new clothes for close to nothing!

1. Go to Plato's Closet. Plato's Closet is a great thrift store that sells gently used brand name clothes for teens (mainly for girls, but some guys stuff as well.) Bring in any clothes (juniors' sizes only!), accessories, cds, books, coats, shoes, dvds, or whatever you have, and sell it to them! You get money in return, which you can then keep, or use in the store to buy some clothes they have. They have really cute clothes there too! I cleaned out my closet at the begging of summer, and made 40 dollars! You should totally check it out!

2. Another idea is to host a fashion swap party. Get your friends to bring clothes and accessories they no longer need. Figure out a fair way to trade clothes, and have a little party while doing it!
