Hey girly --
I read about ur comment bak in lyk late April and I go thru the same thing. In elementary school, I had straight A pluses and my average was a perfect 4.0 and I had lyk, the BEST grade in when I was graduating 5th grade. But around the middle, I got lyk a high B or something and my mom said that if I didn't get straight 100s, she would hit me once for every point (so if I got a 91 she would tap me nine times). She actually did that 1nce 2 me. Since then though, I've bcome WAY below my usual standards but instead of hitting me, my parents are "disappointed" in me... now I'm starting 8th grade and my parents have gotten DSPR8 enough 2 say that if I get straight As on one report card, whether its interim or trimester, they'd get me w/e phone I want w/ watever plan I want. Trust me, my parents are overachievers & the only reason they're not lyk, lawyers or doctors or business people is bcuz they moved from their country 2 here and had 2 start all over.
So just 2 let u kno ur not alone!!!!!

The Beauties and Me


They were perfect. They were amazing in every way. Almost every girl in school wanted to be them. I don’t know why, but I did too. They ruled the school. They were unofficially named “The Beauties” by all of the girls.
The boys, of course, were oblivious to everything except for the fact that they were pretty. Very pretty. Even though they were snobby brats, they were gorgeous snobby brats. They were perfection on a silver platter. We were… something else. It was miserable for everyone. But one day everything changed. And I helped change it.
It started out like any other Friday: a mixture of end-of-the week excitement and boredom from another day of school. Then, something strange happened. I accidentally bumped into the leader of the Beauties, Vanessa. She was the biggest snob of all, but also the prettiest. My books flew everywhere. (Her books were being carried by the poor soul officially labeled as a “nerd”) “EXCUSE YOU!!!” she screeched, making a huge scene,” You KLUTZ!!!” “Sorry, it was an accident,” I said softly. “You had better be sorry, loser. You’re gonna pay!” another girl taunted. The bell rang. My best friend, Alice, helped me gather my books, and we rushed to our math class.
