Hey Sabra, Sorry for the double comment, not too sure how that was able to happen. But I did a little research on the diva cup for you. And, personally, I wouldn't recommend it. For you, at least. The diva cup is purty big, and you've never even used a tampon. So it might hurt a bit to put in. Here is what it loo oks like ---> upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8c/Menstrual_cup_in_hand_with_a_matchbox.jpg Just copy and paste that to your browser. If the lin k doesn't show up, it's because GL Mods don't usually allow them. Also, you should be afraid of tampons! Yes, there is a disease that you can get from wearing a tampon too long, it's called TSS. Toxic Shock Syndrome, TSS is very bad, but very rare. GL has some great articles about it. Also, if you're worried about trying to pull it out and the string gets stuck, no worries! That most likely won't happen unless you use a dollar store brand. Hope my advice helped! --Hcteh

Hey Babe, SOOOOO SORRY I HAVEN'T ANSWERED YET!! I've been super busy lately!! Anyways, like mofraser said, pads are a no no in water, tampons are best! Since you're new to them, you should try a brand like Tampax pearl. They are easy gliders. If you're wondering why pads and water aren't good, it's because a pad will just soak up all the water that it can. By this time it won't be able to absorb anything else, like your blood! Also, the sticky part of your pad that helps attach it to your panties can get wet and fall off, IN THE POOL !!! Talk about embarrassing! About the 'Diva Cup' that mofraser mentioned, I personally have never heard of it, but that doesn't mean it's not true. If you're interested in the 'Diva Cup' I'm sure you could research it. Best, Hcteh (:

Ok so i saw your tampon question on hcteh's page. Since she hasn't answered, i'm going to. Pads are a no no in water so, yeah tampon are best for swimming and the most popular and the easiest. There is also this thing called the diva cup that you can swim with...it's sorta hard to explain, but it just catches the blood as it comes out. Look it up and there might be some better info. Hope i helped =D
