Tell your mom that you don't want a date and that you don't need a date to have fun. Also tell her that you do want to go. Remind her that you love and respect her. Don't get mad and tell her when she's not busy and can focus on you. Good luck! Hope you go to the dance and have fun, if you do! P.S. You're beautiful and deserve to be happy!

I am in 8th grade and we have a Semi-Formal Dance. Some people take dates, some go with a group of friends, the problem is I want to go with a group of friends like we kinda already planned it and everything and my mom says you don't go to formal events without dates and I was like but I don't want to go with a date and she said well I guess you won't go and I said ok. I really shouldn't have said that because I want to go reallly bad and I don't know how to convince her in letting me go. She has no problem with me going she just wants me to have a date. And then she was like well your cousin went last year with a date and I said thats her I'm me and I want to go with friends. Pleasee help, I want to go soo bad and all my friends want me to go,how do I convince her??? Thanks for all your help, sorry this is sooo long and btw my mom isnt that easy to persuade(;

Also, i want to baby sit, & last summer i started advertising, but nobody has called me! How else can i advertise?

Also, do you kniw how i can get a bikini body?(: i want a bikini body by summer, in 4 months. Any ideas? My back is very flabby.
