Hey girl, I looked at what some of the other girls wrote on your profile and those are good suggestions! I would talk to your mom in a polite and grown-up tone about why you want a Facebook and how you would be careful with it. Allowing her to monitor your Facebook and only being friends with people you know (and keeping your profile private to others) are all important!

hey i saw your comment my moms the same way and she totally wouldn't change her mind about facebook so i made a deal with her that summer of 8th grade i can get one so then when that time comes sshe cant change her mind

hey girl! one thing you could try is make a deal: let her "test" out fb for about a week, if she likes it, then she will let you get one. Let her know that she can be your friend on FB so she can monitor what you are doing. also tell her you can get privacy settings so strangers can't see your wall. also you could come up with a list of "safety FB rules" something like this: *I will only friend someone if I know them *I will have privacy settings, so strangers can't see me *I wont post anything inappropriate *I wont be on FB past _:___ PM stuff like that!
