That's awesome! I'm so happy for you! I've actually read both of those series. haha. I would also recomend keeping those exercises up throughout the year, cuz people still have pool parties -indoors- during fall and winter. I learned this lesson the hard way one year cuz I stopped working out as much, figuring swimsuit season was over but nope! Everybody had pool parties and here I am soft and mushy. lol. Its funny now but not then.

I'm glad you asked for more! Another good one is the forearm plank. GL actually had this in a past issue I do believe.
Get down in a push-up position. Make and "L" with your arms by bending your elbows and put your weight on your arms. But keep your body straight, (like a plank). Do this for about 20 seconds the first time and then gradually work yourself up to a longer time.
Lie on your side and stack your feet on top of each other. Rest your weight on you elbow and make an "L" again. Push yourself up onto that arm. And keep your hips, and legs off the ground. Hold for 30 seconds, switch sides.
Hula Hooping is a FANTASTIC way to whittle your waist and I found that I am unable to hula hoop anymore LOL. It gets harder as you get older and more "out of shape". But easier the more you workout! I usually hula hoop to one of my favorite up beat songs and if you drop the hula hoop, just pick it up and pick up where you left off.
There's one more. Lie on your back and bend your knees with your feet flat on the ground. Now raise your hips hold for 30 seconds than sit back down. Do it again but lift your right leg out and hold it out straight hold for 30 seconds then lower yourself back down and repeat with your left leg.
I hope that these work for you! Do them once every other day! Do them too much and you'll wear yourself out.

Hey I saw your post about getting good abs! I'm trying to do that too!!! I've recently been going to high jump camp and a big part of your high jump power comes from your core so we've been doing LOTS of moves to get a powerful core. Some of them are:
sit on your butt with your knees pulled up to your chest and your ankles crossed over each other. Now hold your arms right out in front of you close to your chest. Lift your feet off the ground and keep them off. and twist back and forth, left to right. Do that for about 30 seconds or so.
Back bends are good too!

first before u sart losing ne weight, make sure its safe and tht its necesary! if u r a gud weight, do not try to loose weight! its dangerous!
but, having a toned bell with great abs without losing weight is a wonderful, and safe!, thing to wwant! (unless told otherwise by docs or prfesionals)
crunches, sit ups, cardio, and many other exercises r great ways to do tht! GL has sum great tips online nd in their mag, nd thy wrk! also eating healthy foods is a sure and safe way to get a great bod, not only on the outside, but on the inside too! Hey! I saw your post about wanting to get your abs in better shape, which is what I'm trying to do too! What I do is run, well bike now b/c I have to recover from an injury, but I USED to run. Then, I come inside and do a core workout. If you check out runnersworld.com they have really good core workouts! Oh, and just a tip I read, don't wipe off sweat when you're working out. You burn more calories b/c your bod feels like it's working more. Hope this helps!

your totally welcome! i so glad i could help you out! the 3 minute ab workout is pretty tough the first couple times you do it but it gives really fast results and i love it! another thing you could try is yoga, pilates, or running. they aren't completely focused on abs but they will tone your intire body for an all around great workout! and don't forget to eat healthy! all of your super hard work will be put to waste if you eat a bunch of junk food! lol
i hope everything works out for you! i'm sure you'll look fab in your swim suit no matter what! confidence is key
