heyyyy! okay, so you're nervous! that's totally okay! 1. Relax Around Guys. They are people, just like you. Remind yourself of this when you start to get nervous. 2. Be Yourself. Acting like something you’re not just takes up time and energy, and eventually you’ll be caught, and the guy DEFINITELY won’t like you. He might not be ‘your type’, and even though that’s sad, you should accept it and look for a guy that’s going to like you for YOU. 3. Learn What He Likes. Talk to him about things he’s interested in. Maybe it’s sports, music, whatever it may be, go with it. An don’t be afraid to compliment him (and don’t ask him if you’re fat or ugly, that’ll just make him feel awkward). 4. Avoid Faking It. Don’t pretend to know more than you do (or to be better at something than you really are). If his favorite band is Panic! At the Disco, and you’ve never even heard of them, tell him that. Ask him about the band. Looking like you don’t know about one thing is okay, looking like you’re lying about knowing about it makes you look bad. The same goes for sports. If you don’t know the first thing about golf, don’t pretend to be a pro. Ask him about it - maybe he’ll coach you. And how cute a story would it make that you two fell in love over the seventeenth hole? 5. Give Him Space. If you follow a guy around constantly, you’ll get on his nerves and he won’t like you. And it’s not fair to him, he’s got the right to hang out with anyone and not have you there 24-7 (sorry, I know it sounds mean, but trust me. I had a guy follow me around, I couldn’t even get a moment alone with my boyfriend!). He’ll notice you, and likely be grateful for the space. 6. Chill Out. Don’t let the first words you say to him be, “Will you go out with me?” That may make him nervous (he’ll probably be thinking, who is this girl? I don’t know her. How can she already like me?). Alot has happened since i last posted :*( :{) A) I think i'm in love wit my bf, our relationship has been getting a little more serious lately, like his 8th grade dance was last friday ( iwas looking hot) and we went together and it was a little strange since im in 7th grade, anyway we were slow dancing and it was really late no one was really dancing except us cuz we were so lost in each other and when the chaperones were like the dance ended, so we went outside and waited for his older bro making-out were no one cud c us and his bro comes over and is like 'hey james there talking bout an after party u want to go i'll just tell mom u went over jasmine's (a close friend of ours) after" and we said yes. only prob it was at a hotel like when ur at prom and things got a little too serious Frown (nothing happened but was about to), im not mad at him about it just it went to far and he was the one that stopped and i was fine that he did like maybe HE wasn't ready but the thing is I was and i dont think a moment like that will happen again. oh if ur wondering my mom doesn't really care were i am and my dad's rarley home. B)my dad came home from work and took away my ipod, dsi,computer, tv, game stations, and deleted all my songs from my ipod and skul comeputer!!!!! (the one im using now) and i didnt even do anything!!!!! im really lucky all my songs and stuff he deleted was on a hard drive i just dont know wat to do any more plz help wit any advice and for those of you who said that people were proud of me well there not alot of them said it themselves like mt rents i am the almost perfect child wat else do they want from me

PPPPPPLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ HHHHHHHEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPP MEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! i feel like no one is proud of me they say they are but i can tell they aren't. my dad hits me if i do something bad and i at night i cry myself to sleep. i hate my life at home so i look forward to school but some jerks at school make me want to hate it. i've lost a lot of people in my life and i end up crying at school sometimes. with all the s**t in my life i cut myself to see if i can still feel. (i know some of you might have read the problem i had with my friend and the other guy(i figured out that problem i was in love with my friend he knows and everythings fine and the guy he knows and were going out) and think i might be lying about both but im not) i know cutting myself is wrong but it's like i have no control of it my friend slept over once and said i had cut my self in my sleep. only a few of my closest friends know about the cuts and they dont do anything i kinda feel like they dont care, only one of them and my boyfriend hold me like i might fall apart when i cry and cut my self. they dont like it and for there sake i try not to. they came over to my house and took all the blades i had but i still find a way to (even when theyre there)and the weird thing is when i cut really deep and it's very bloody my boyfriend licks it i dont really care that he does and it brings more peace to me but i afraid hes taking his love for vampires to far. i really need help this is the first time im making this public and i know it's long but i have know idea wat to do i try to stay with my friends as much as possible but i still cut myself. ^^^^^^^^^^hey so i read your comment on an advice page and saw you're good at giving advice. I kind of need some. One of my friends is totally nice, except she is dating this guy that should not be trusted. There are rumors going around that he told some guys that he's only dating her for her body (aka chest). Before they started dating, she got really upset when a guy complimented her chest. Now that her boyfriends says it, she doesn't seem to care. Or maybe she doesn't believe it. IDK. Anyway, they "broke up" last night and she was crying all day about how he said she can't ever talk to him again. All my friends and I told her she was going to get hurt, but she didn't believe us. We go to this totally rules-obsessed school, so they schedule time to see each other during 2nd, 3rd and 4th period. They even plan when they're going kiss. How can I help her through this relationship without being harsh. I don't want her to get hurt, but she totally needs to get some sense. Sorry that's so long and confusing. Can you help? --Maddie

Dear vklover, ♥ First of all, being bi is totally okay. One of my bffs is bi and it doesn't matter, we are still friends. ♥ If you want to meet more people like you than you already know, search a bit online. There are a couple websites for LGBs to meet and chat. I know that there are a couple girls on GL who are gay or bi. -However, If you want to meet some more people like you in real life, you could look around at your recreational centers, libraries, churches, etc. to see if there are any LGBT clubsc, as your school doesn't have one. - Or, you could talk to your school principal about starting a LGBT club. you don't even have to reveal that you are bi! you could say someone close to you or that you know LGBs are looking for support and maybe the school could start a LGBT club. ♥ As for telling your mom, it will be kind of awkward to bring it up but once you start talking, it should be more comfortble to talk about. You could say " Hey mom, what would you think if I was bi?..." or bring it up nother way, like flat out telling her.
