Hey girl! Sorry for taking so long to answer your question!
I think the reason you may feel like that is because the relationship ended very quickly without really getting started! You started to really like him and then he just ended it which is an awful feeling! The reasons he did are kind of silly too! One week was not enough time to determine things like long distance relationships! I'm sorry that you got hurt by him but I also feel that he is not worth it if he broke up with you after one week with silly reasons!
What you need to work on is finding other things you love to distract you! Have a girls night and laugh a bunch with your friends buy a super cute outfit that makes you feel confident! And start to look around for other guys that may be asking for a relationship longer than a week! Maybe some closer to your house? time will pass and eventually things will get better I promise! Hope this helps!!

Do you guys have any dances at your school? Next month is my freshmen semi-formal. Today when I asked my crush who he likes..well..he said he "likes a girl..who's really cute...and in ninth grade." So it could be me (lol). He's approved my dress and everything but as of right now we're both going solo. He's shy so I doubt he'll ask me. But...I'm too scared to ask him! Don't feel weird! Don't worry...it's completely normal. To me, it sounds like this is your period...but of course I can't be sure. Be sure to tell your mom or motherly figure! She'll know for sure. You may or may not feel comfortable telling you mum, but she'll understand! I promise. If you have any questions or need any advice on your period feel free to ask me. Wow! Your hair sounds just like mine did a couple of months ago! My hair was long, curly underneath and wavy on top (weird..I know). About 2(ish) months ago I decided it was time to get it cut. I went to the hair cutting place and the lady who cut my hair had some great ideas! I ended up cutting about 6 or 7 inches off, getting layers, and getting angles. & I must say, it looks really pretty. I got so many compliments! If you don't want to straighten your hair...then don't! I personally straighten my hair because it suits me better. You can look on the internet for pictures of haircuts you may like & bring them with you when you do get your haircut. Or you can ask the man or woman who cuts your hair for their opinion on what you should do.

& you're absolutely right. Don't change for a guy because the right guy will like you for you. Not what you look like.

James and I are texting now...he likes to show off in front of me, too! It's hilarious! He's a star swimmer (as a Freshman..which is unheard of!) and I know that, but he only talks about it in front of me. I'm a soccer player so I show off in front of him, too. (: We're both geektastic, adorkable little nerds who get straight As so there's not much showing off going on there...but he likes to compete with me.

That wasn't very nice of Kolin to do that to you. ): I was in the same sitch when I was in... seventh grade. Hunter should respect the fact that you like him & not tease you about it. But..boys are boys. & I hate to say it, but if Hunter is immature and doesn't [at the moment] feel the same towards you & even if he does...he could joke about it with you. When my crush back in seventh grade found out that I liked him, he started flirting with me more. It was cute while it lasted...but two years later this kid is "together" with my BFF!!!! I don't know what Hunter is like as a person, so I can't tell you what he'll do. But if Hunter teases you & you like it...go along with it! If Hunter teases you & you don't like it...just straight up tell him to back off. If Hunter ignores you, he might be shy. He mind just be flattered by the fact that a girl likes him. <3 I'm not saying any of these things will happen, I'm just going by my own experiences. Tell me how things have been going with Hunter, hopefully I can give you better advice!!! <3

It's perfectly fine to like Hunter & Luke at the same time! I've actually never like more than one guy at once....which is seriously weird. But my BFF has like three guys at one time! It gives ya options (;

I'm acting differently than before, too! My friends Rennie and Alex keep teasing me about it. They've always been like, "Eli, you're blind." Because to them it's always been obvious that James [the guy I like] has had a crush on me back. Recently, though, I've been starting to believe that...maybe he really does like me. According to my friend Ariana, James came up to her on Thursday and said, "You're friends with Eliana, right!?" and once she said "yes" he asked her tons of questions about me. (: We also split our food with each other & he asks me to sit with him at lunch. He gives me silly little presents. Now I've started becoming all giddy and silly around him instead of being super shy and my friends think it's hilarious. It's perfectly normal to act differently, though!!!! (:

He doesn't want you to like Luke...he wants you to like him. Pay no attention to that. If Kolin really likes you then he'll want you to be happy...even if that means he can't "have" you.
Normally I don't believe in second chances but from what you've told me...you might want to give Luke a second chance! I think he deserves it (if he really didn't talk behind your back). It's okay to like Luke!

Isn't it annoying when guys will be sweet talk you one day and then the next ignore you? I mean..come on! It's the worst! Ahw! It's natural to be uncomfortable about liking boys. I've liked guys for years & I'm still as awkward as can be around the guy I like. Ashley will warm up to the idea eventually. (: Alright. Now flirting with guys can be tricky... boys are usually clueless & don't realize when a girl likes him. & by the way, It's not embarrassing that you don't "know" how to flirt with guys! You can do whatever you want to "flirt" with boys (there's not a flirting rule or anything ) but here are some things I do that seem to work. (;
• Compliment him (Example: "I like your shoe laces" okay, don't say that..it just sounds silly but..compliments are good!)
• Tease him (nothing mean! just steal his pencil or something if you're already "close" with him & you know he wouldn't get mad)
• Smile at him (: [how can he not smile back!?]
• [Try] to make eye contact
• Talk and joke around with him!
See, there's not much to flirting! Try not to come off too strong ("ohmygoodddnessss can I have your number!" if he doesn't even know your name yet...) but if you stick to giving compliments, playful teasing, smiling, eye contact, & jokes you'll do great! He'll notice you for all the right reasons.

Okay. First things first...I promised you days ago to tell you some ways to figure out if a guy likes you! So I'll do that now. I'm not saying that if a guy acts like this around you it automatically means he likes you...it just means it's a possibility. (: Alright so... a few ways to tell if a guy likes you...
• He acts super shy or super outgoing around you [depends on the guy.]
• He always wants to be around you
• He [suddenly] ignores you
• He speaks differently with you (compared to how he talks with his friends or other girls)
• He stares at you
• He asks your friends about you
• He teases you.
^ These are just a few signs. & again, what kind of signals guys send really depends on the boy and his personality!

That boy James is pretty popular amongst your group of friends I see.. that really stinks, I'm sorry. :/ Just because James doesn't like Kaili doesn't mean that you can't like him still, though you made a good decision by backing off. Who knows, in the future maybe he'll be yours! I think it's absolutely adorable that you still like the same boy you liked all the way back in Kindergarten! [ahw!<3] Luke sounds like a great choice...he sounds super sweet! Just one question, does James think that you like him or Luke? If he thinks you still like him and you don't, try not to flirt with him at all. Eventually he'll get the message. If he thinks you like him & you truly do, well then it's up to you to decide what would be best. I love the fact that you're not afraid to tell everyone who you like...& I'm sure guys would like that, too. Believe me... it's hard figuring out who somebody likes unless they just tell you. What you're doing saves guys a lot of frustration.
Now for your friend Ashley...this is the first guy she's ever liked? & it's James....you're just not having very good luck, are you? :/ I'm sorry. But, if you've really moved on then Ashley should have no problem flirting with James [& boys are clueless :/ you need to flirt A LOT to get them to get the idea. You know, if that's what she wants]. If Ashely doesn't want James to know that she likes him yet then maybe first the two of them could become very good friends. Okay girl, I'm here to help you with your sitch. It really sucks when you and your best friend like the same guy, doesn't it? I should know.. it's happened to me three times before [I've only ever liked four guys -_- and I'm a Freshmen]! But from experience I've learned many things. Most important.... don't EVER let a guy ruin your relationship with your friend. Sisters before misters. You say you think that James likes your BFF back? What does he do to make you think that? Unless he's told you to your face that he likes your friend, you can't know for sure, so don't stress about it yet. (; If at some point you figure out that James really does like your friend [OR you!], work something out with your BFF. I hate to say it but until one of you moves on, it might be best for both of you to just stay friends with James no matter what. Don't risk ruining your friendship over a boy who probably won't be in your life forever. (: You've got great taste, by the way. I would say if a guy is staring at you a lot and talking to you about sorta pointless things there is a good chance he likes you. Guys tend to be more strait forward when they like a girl then girls are when they like a guy so hopefully it won't be to hard to figure it out. Bottom line: If he is flirting and isn't a player...he likes u.

Ok so hate to say this but based on everything u said I think Luke might like u. The same thing happened to me when I was in 8th grade...my friends crush had a HUGE crush on me. I tried to hide it from her but it became sort of obvious since he started talking to me at my locker all teh time. The tough thing is (in my opinion) that when someone starts paying that much attention to you it's hard not fall for them too. So to start with I would be up front with Luke, ask him whats up and tell him that u don't feel that way about him and think of him as more of a friend. It's best to be upfront and honest from the beginning with everybody....TRUST ME. And remember, friends come first and if this is your friends crush she has a right to know what's going on.

Ok so are you positive that when Morgan say's he sounds cute she doesn't mean that he sounds cute for you?? Because if she has never met him, I don't see how she can really have a crush on him. Try asking her about that and gently telling her that it bothers you when she talks about how cute he is and makes it sound like she likes him. Making it clear that Austin is YOUR crush and you aren't ok with your friends talking about how cute he is will make everything so much easier if you go to the same camp. It has happened to my friends and I one to many times that we all end up liking the same guy because nobody is clear about their feelings from the beginning. It's never fun and always ends in somebody getting hurt so I would be sure to let them know that you saw him first and therefore for the time being at least....he is YOUR crush, not theres. There are plenty of other fish in the sea and I have a feeling if they do go to the same camp as you, they will meet other guys. Just make sure you don't sound mean when you talk them and they should understand if they're good friends. Good luck!

Hey! Ok so sorry but I don't have any tips on how to water ski because I have never done it lol But if you want to get over your fears about it try researching on Google, how to water ski and how to stay safe while doing it...it might make you feel more comfortable. You can also try starting slow...by having the person driving the boat go extra slowly...so you can get the feel for it. Remember altho some fears are good to overcome, being cautious in some situations can be a really good thing. I think it's good that you hold back a little before doing something that u r afriad could be dangerous. Just make sure you know things are safe and maybe get a second opinion from a friend or family memeber before doing them. Plus picturing how great you will feel once u do conquer a fear could help you do it too!

Hey! First off I think it's great that your bffs are friends with eachother because if you think about it, that will make everything so much easier in the long run. Now you can all hang out together and when you have a party you don't have to worry about how everyone will get along. I know not being in the same class as your friends stinks but just because they aren't in class with you doesn't meen they will forget about you. Try hanging out a lot after school this year and maybe joining a club or activity together. Plus texting, emailing, and phone calls are lifesavers when it comes to keeping in touch. Plus there is a bright side to this...it gives you the opportunity to make some great new friends this year! Good luck!

Hey! Ok so first of all don't be embarassed because everyone else is dealing with the exact same situation. Changing and showering can be awkward at first but everyone is in the same boat so you get used to it. Usually showering is optional...at least at my school so if it is just bring deodorant or perfume and you shouldn't have to shower. And if you're to embarrassed to change in the locker room, maybe you could change in the bathroom. The locker room at my school actually has bathroom stalls in it. But like I said, it's something everyone get's used to. Good luck, I hope this helped!

I'm so sorry you're going through this...and I think waiting until September to see my crush again is hard...I can't even imagine what you're going through. And Wisconsin to Maryland is a pretty big distance apart. I would say keeping in contact is the best thing...maybe he will get a cell phone at some point (you said he doesn't have one right?) and then you guys could text each other. For now just keep in contact my regular mail and over the phone if you can. Try distracting yourself and thinking about other things. I think you will miss him less and less as time goes by...and school is coming up which is distracting and time consuming enough.
