Hey girl! Your question was a little confusing :S but, if he thinks you should just be friends, than do so. If you start convos, ask him to hang out, or just say a simple hello, it'll give him the idea that you'd like to come closer again. After a while you might become even more than just friends, and give him the hint that you like him, or just tell him! Guys are confusing and may take a while to understand (if you ever do!).
