MOD MOD MOD MOD
so for the past year or so I've been struggling with weight and food. I always think about losing weight, and I try to eat under a thousand calories everyday. I also exercise 3-4 times per week. I am about 5'7, .... pounds (which I know is normal). Sometimes I binge on food like cookies and chocolate to the point where I feel sick. I don't have any adults that I can talk to, and I want to know what I can do to stop feeling so bad about myself. What should I do?




Hey girlie,

You're right - you're totally normal and actually have a really admirable weight for your height! It sounds like you're watching your food and exercise well, but you have to make sure you don't overdo it. Depriving yourself entirely of junk foods will only make you want to binge until you don't want it anymore so, if you're craving cookies or brownies or other "bad" things, indulge yourself a little. "Everything in moderation" is a motto I really support - just two cookies instead of the whole bag will make you feel satisfied without making you feel guilty! If you're having image problems and your thoughts about food/weight are interfering with your life, try talking to a school nurse, counselor, or trainer. They can help (or find a nutritionist/doctor who can help) you see your body as it really is, without such a critical eye <3 It's totally normal to want to change some things about yourself, but you can bust outta that intense critical perspective and see yourself as beautiful, healthy, strong and great!!!!
