Here's a homemade face wash that I have tried and love.

Use half a pack of plain instant oatmeal, mix with two squirts of honey, ½ cup lemon juice, a squirt of rubbing alcohol, and some tomato juice.
Mix with a spoon.

Then, apply to the face, leave on for 5 minutes, wash off.
It helps lighten the appearance of bright red pimples, eliminate blackheads, prevent future breakouts/blackheads, and smooths the skin while ridding of excess oils.
