Who says Prince Charming doesn't exist?

High school can be rough for any girl—especially if you’re a vintage clothing-obsessed outcast who wins the nickname “The Weird Fat Girl.” But Simone’s quick wit and snarky sense of humor (“As freshman year went on, and my IM list began to shrink, my Tastykake consumption expanded”) wins the attention of the most popular boy in school—Jason Frank.

In Robin Palmer’s Wicked Jealous: A Love Story, Simone struggles to shed her old rep before starting her senior year of high school. With the assistance of a few Zumba-loving fairy godmothers and seven college guys she shares a summer apartment with, she gains the skills to win over her prince charming. But a self-centered soon-to-be stepmother constantly tries to undo Simone’s efforts and sabotage her fairy tale ending.

Story line sound familiar? This modern day take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is sure to make your abs burn as you laugh along with Simone and root for her fairy tale ending.
