Middle school and the beauty world collide in Glitter Girl

Do you have a passion for fashion and beauty? If so, you might want to add Glitter Girl by Toni Runkle and Stephen Webb to your collection of must reads.

Kat is a small-town tween fashion blogger who also happens to be the newest trendsetter for Glitter Girl Cosmetics. Her new fabulous gig, and all the perks of having the coolest things such as makeup before it even hits the stores that comes with it, moves Kat’s popularity amongst her middle school up to the top—but at a price.

There's only one person who doesn't seem to be happy with Kat’s new status symbol and that’s her BFF Jules. Will Kat hang on to her new lifestyle at the cost of losing her bestie? Or will she realize friendship is more important?

Glitter Girl tackles the very important topic of friendship vs. popularity, hitting on one common issue many of today’s teens face: The need for approval from others.

Will Kat be able to juggle her newfound online fame with the people she holds close to her heart? Be sure to pick up Glitter Girl (in stores Tuesday, Dec. 3) to find out!
