What it is: Summer Everett is on her way to France to visit her dad when she is faced with a last-second decision. This one simple choice splits her summer into two parallel worlds filled with friendships, drama, life-changing discoveries and love.

What I loved: Aimee Friedman's writing style. She was really able to get in touch with the mind of a teenage girl and made me feel like I was in Summer's head. Ultra-relatable! (Oh, and no spoilers, but my favorite scene was totally when Summer approached the boy at the market first. So cute.)

Why you should check it out: Two Summers really makes you think about the outcomes of your choices, which is the basis of my favorite quote from the book: "My favorite of Mom’s theories, though, is the one about parallel universes—the idea that somewhere out there, in space or time, endless versions of ourselves exist. And each version lives out every possible outcome of our different decisions. Kind of like a cosmic Choose Your Own Adventure.”  I would totally recommend this book to anyone!
