Friends say they understand but
How could they
Not knowing if your family is
Dead or alive
Knowing that while you are eating,
Your family is
Starving
Knowing that while ships bring hope to some
Those ships deem your family not
Worthy
Knowing all this makes us want to unlearn but maybe
Ignorance is bliss
Isn't it?
And all we can do is wait
And hold back the tears
And wait.
