Hey, Twihards! Guess what?
I just saw New Moon!
Have YOU seen it yet?
If you loved Twilight, then you will absolutely love this second installment in the series.
Without giving too much of the plot away, I will just say that you need to be prepared to see Taylor Lautner without his shirt on (a lot), have your emotions go from one extreme to the next in less than a minute and choose, once and for all, whether you are on Team Edward or Team Jacob.
Everyone was pretty worried that the new director wouldn’t do as good of a job, but we think he did better! The cinematography was absolutely beautiful, the soundtrack was amazing and Bella’s clothes and makeup was way better than in Twilight. There were tons of special effects with the werewolves, but they actually looked pretty real and convincing, not corny and weird like in other movies.
The new characters of the movie, the Volturi, were, well, amazing and horrifying at the same time. Their scenes will definitely have you tensed in your seat. And you’ll finally see what happens to Victoria (remember her?) and Laurent. Awesome, right?!
Having read all of the books multiple times, I will agree that the script doesn’t follow the book as closely as I would have liked (but that’s often the case when a book is transformed into a movie), but it still does a fantastic job of capturing all the emotions felt while reading.
Obviously,
New Moon emphasizes the relationship between Bella and Jacob more than in the first movie, and Bella has to make some pretty tough decisions. So, who does she choose? Head to the theater to find out!
As one girl said while leaving the theater, “Oh my goodness! I have so many emotions right now, I don’t even know what to do with them!”

In celebration of New Moon’s release, we’re bringing you a week’s worth of Twilight goodies for all to enjoy!
With the Twilight Saga craze going on, it’s time to know (or recap for all you Twilighters) who’s who in the upcoming movie New Moon. Sure, there’s Edward, Bella and Jacob but you gotta know the new stars in the movie to really enjoy it! Snag the 411 on the fresh faces right now…
The Volturi Clan
Jane (played by Dakota Fanning)
Jane is a guard of the Volturi who can cause pain in others with almost no effort. This definitely takes a toll on Bella and you’ll cringe at what this bloodsucker can do. Jane, although a bit of a catty blood sucker, is totally gonna blow your mind (metaphorically and literally) in the new flick—especially with the one and only Dakota Fanning playing the role.
Aro (played by Michael Sheen)
For those of you haven’t heard, the Volturi is a type of royalty in the vampire world. And with every royal family comes a leader, in the case Aro of New Moon. As the head of the clan, Aro holds the power to anything vampire related… even their death. With his ability to read your every thought (past & present), you’re going to want to be on his good side.
Caius (played by Jamie Campbell-Bower)
If you’re a fan of leading bad boys, Caius just might be the vampire for you. He might not have a special power, but you’ll get a kick out of what he wants to do when this bloodsucker sees Bella in Italy. Adding on to the hotness factor, Jamie Campbell-Bower is oh-so-hawt in his bleach blonde hair in this flick.
Jacob’s buddies: The Quileute Tribe
>

Sam Uley (played by Chaske Spencer)
Okay, the idea of werewolves is pretty cool, but being with them just might be a bit scary. Now, imagine a werewolf that wants to protect humans (such as Bella) from getting their blood sucked. That’s Sam Uley for you! He’s the alpha of his pack and he can shape shift (aka transform instantly). Awesome.
Paul (played by Alex Meraz)
Scratch out everything about Sam Uley and substitute with ill tempered and really, really scary. That’s who Paul is in New Moon when he finds out that Jacob told Bella about the Quileute Tribe. Of course, there’s no way Paul could ever hurt Bella with the buff and hot Jacob by her side. But get ready for some thrill when Paul shows his fur!

Disney Pixar’s emotional adventure lands on DVD and Blu-ray today—yay! And we’re giving away FREE copies for some very special chicks.
Carl Fredricksen, a balloon salesman, had dreams of exploring the depths of South America with his childhood sweetheart, Ellie. He made a promise to his wife that they would trek to Paradise Falls but, sadly, Ellie passed away before that. Thinking life has passed him by, the 78-year-old widower does the unthinkable one day. Keeping his promise, he straps thousands of balloons to the roof of his house, uprooting for his own adventure.
Carl soon realizes, however, that he’s not alone on his ambitious quest. Russell, an eager 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer who was just trying to earn an extra badge, accidentally gets suckered in for the ride.
The traveling duo’s journey includes exotic animals like a huge exotic bird Russell names Kevin and a talking dog named Dug. And they all soon realize that South America, which seems like a magical place, is in fact one filled with danger for Kevin. Can Carl, Russell and Dug protect him? Can they all make it through their journey safe and sound?
Whether you’ve seen the movie in theaters or haven’t seen it at all, the four-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack and two-disc DVD lends tons of bonus surprises for all as well. There’s “Dug’s Special Mission”--an original short film that follows the misadventures of the beloved dog Dug as he attempts to complete his “special mission.” There’s also the “Adventure is Out There”—an action-packed documentary of the filmmakers’ own trek to South America to research the design and story of the film.
The Blu-ray pack lends even more hours of extra goodies, including “Geriatric Hero” and “Russell: Wilderness Explorer,” which discuss the creation of the movie’s main characters, and interactive games like “Global Guardian Badge Game,” where players take a stab at geography when they must try to locate countries, states and capitals around the world.
Check out a sampling of “Dug’s Special Mission” bonus clip below…
