Get Crackin: Sudoku Ball Detective

Calling all puzzle lovers!

We’ve got a brand new game that has suspense, mystery and, of course, Sudoku. It’s a new Nintendo DS game called Sudoku Ball Detective where you follow Sir Edward Bannister in his quest to find a killer.

The twist? Sudoku is EVERYTHING in this game: you play to find clues, you play to examine clues, and there are even speed rounds to unlock doors and escape from danger.

In the mood for solving a crime? The “Story Mode” is your game. Just want to test your mind with Sudoku? You can choose “Classic Mode” for endless brain teasing. And when you’ve mastered the easy levels, you can pump up the intensity on medium or expert. This is one brain buster that’ll keep you going for hours.

Check out the game’s trailer below!

Sudoku Ball Detective is out now and available for the PC, Nintendo DS and Wii. Check it out and then let us know your thoughts.

Clandestine: Ultimate Gamer Girl

Love video games, but hate when they’re dominated by a bunch of boys? Capcom just released an awesome new game for the Nintendo Wii this week called Spyborgs, where cybernetically-enhanced super heroes work together to battle giant robots and beat up the bosses.

The game is designed to be played with two or three players because, after all. teamwork is the best work, right! While players can choose from three different characters, what we love about the game is its female fighter Clandestine.

GL’s Five Favorite Things About Clandestine:

1. Hello, GIRL POWER
2. She can beat the boys at their own game
3. She’s got mad karate skills
4. She’s a team player
5. She’s not afraid to break a nail

Watch below for a peak at this new action-packed game.

Be sure to check out Spyborgs and let us know why you might love Clandestine, too.

Who’s your fave female video game character? Do you love beating boys at their own games? Blog it up, gamer girls!

Get Gaming: Scribblenauts

Are you a problem solver? Do you crave brain-busting games? Help Maxwell travel through the Scribblenauts world in this new game for Nintendo DS (out now) and complete tasks in over 220 levels in 10 diff worlds!

The way the game works is pretty simple. You receive a task and have to think of different items that you would need in order to complete it. For example, if you needed to cut down a tree, you would type in “chainsaw.” After hitting the okay button, a chainsaw will appear and you will be able to use it as needed. It’s a major workout for your imagination, but it’s also LOADS of fun!

With so much to explore, and tons of objects to think up, we were instantly hooked on the game. While the controlling could be a bit smoother (the DS stylus was a tad slow on picking up some of our movements), the journey is fantastic.

Be sure to check out Scribblenauts and let us know your thoughts.

Which object would you like Scribblenauts to draw up? Any puzzle problem princesses out there? Blog it up, ladies!

YOU WROTE IT

It was a strange scent, faintly familiar, like the perfume my mother used to wear. The aroma lingered around me, smelling like dried sunflowers and a soft touch of the new spring air.
