Take a cue from the catwalks and pair your earth-girl shoes with an ethereal dress. A whimsical birdcage necklace adds old-fashioned glamour. Need some warmth? Over-the-knee socks in a pretty pastel hue (think: baby pink or lilac) should do the trick.
Florals are so pretty for spring—we can’t get enough of ‘em! Channel your inner boho babe with a goes-anywhere frock and a retro belt. Wear your hair down and loose for a naturally gorgeous finish.
Need a darling outfit for school or shopping? A printed skirt with an off-white blouse or a V-neck tee is perf. Grab the biggest, brightest bag you can find and you’ve got a new go-to getup.

We love the oh-so-stylin’ boots ‘n’ dress combo. Flouncy or fitted, frilly or simple, any spring dress can get a major style boost from a cute boot! Here are some of our faves…
These boots are shorter, so they're perf for springy temps.
Nautical stripes are big this season. A ship-shape tunic makes the booties perf for strolling around the mall or for chillin’ out on a Saturday. Add a bright sweater and tights if you’re still chilly!
Inexpensive rubber bracelets keep the vibe casual. Pile them up on one arm, or wear some on each wrist. Fun, but not too girly.
A floral frock keeps your stompers boho cool. Looks sweet on its own this spring, but right now keep it cozy with a (faux) furry vest.
Slide on an adorable turquoise bracelet to add some pretty color. Gorge, but not too dramatic.
For a more sophisticated vibe, try a ruffled dress with a fitted waist. The loose shape of the dress, combined with the simple boots gives your outfit an effortless look.
A punchy bag adds much-needed color to a dark outfit. Hello, spring flowers!

My fave pair of jeans just wore through and have a hole in them.
I don’t want to throw them out, but they didn’t exactly rip in a cute way.

Patch Things Up
A patch is a perfect way to cover up a hole or two and make your style even more unique. Hit up your local craft store and buy some cute fabric remnants (hint: tiny florals look prettyl). Then, get out the old needle and thread and use the fabric to “collage” over the rip. Check out Urban Outfitters' blog for easy how-tos.
Pants, Meet Scissors
Shorts weather is right around the corner, so it’s time to gived those rippies new life. Find a pair of shorts, Bermudas or capris you love and measure the inseam (the part from the crotch to the hem). Use a piece of chalk to mark where you want your new pants to hit. Once you have them marked in the front and back, cut off the legs about two inches below the mark. Try ‘em on and cuff ‘em or trim them to the perf length.
Jeans in Distress
Ok, so the hole on your jeans kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. Try distressing them even more to make the whole pair look well-worn Use sandpaper for a worn look around pockets, zippers, knees and hems. It sounds crazy, but try running a cheese grater over the legs to make frayed tears in certain places. Remember: Don’t use scissors to make any clean cuts because they’ll look too perfect to have happened by accident.
Know When to Say Goodbye
If you’ve had your jeans for years and this hole is one of many others, it may be time to say au revoir. Check around to see if any organizations in your area are looking for jeans to recycle—in some places Habitat for Humanity has been using old denim to insulate houses. How very cool, um, warm.
