i've had my period for a year and a few months, and i can promise your period dose not hurt, your sis was just trying to be mean. yes you may get cramps, but i find pain killers like the ones above effective. if your allergic,or cant take them, a heating pad, and physical activity can help.if your feeling sad,or mad try chocolate,it has chemicals in it that make you smile.

For my cramps, I fill an empty plastic water bottle with warm water. Then I just place it to my belly area and usually it helps with the cramps. That's just my remedy! ^^

I've only had my period once, and I had a few little back cramps, but they went away pretty quickly.

periods themselves usually don't (and shouldn't) hurt. the cramps, however, do. i usually have cramps for 2 or 3 days before and after Aunt Flo...but some of my friends who have gotten their period don't have cramps at all. it's specific to the person, so your sister's cramps/pain may not be what you experience.

It doesn't hurt at all! Don't worry! The only thing is you will probably get cramps!
