So, I don't have my period yet, though ive had discharge for awhile, but sometimes I get really sharp painful pains 'down there' and it'll hurt for like 2 seconds but it feels, I don't know, like being pricked with a needle. I don't think it would be a cramp, because for one cramps last longer for me and two its a little lower than that. Its painful, I don't get it regularly but I will get it sometimes. Im curious as to find out what this is, it hurts!:/ help!

Hey girl, actually, that term "climax" isn't exclusive to that one activity. For now, you don't need to know the specifics (trust me, most girls your age don't for a while), but just think of it as what it is in literature: the peak of something. That's all you really need to know about it for now. You can ask your 'rents if you're still curious.

Sometimes my chest gets like that too - like the skin gets sensitive and it tingles/itches, no matter how much I scratch it! Try using a lotion made for sensitive skin and stop using your bra for a day or two. It's probably nothing "wrong" with you - just a fluke that your skin is more sensitive right now than normal. Taking it easy and letting it get back to normal should do the trick! Smile

I haven't had my period yet and I'm 13 and 14 next month. All my friends have had theirs already and I'm scared it's gonna happen at a really bad time. My dad gave me "the talk" about getting my period and growing up (he also gave me the sex talk which was way embarrassing) and he said that mom and I should go to the store to buy some pads so I have them when it happens. But my mom said not to worry about it. I'm really freaked out about having my period at a sleepover or at softball practice. My friend had hers for the first time in her sleep a few months ago. She said that she woke up and went to change for school and she thought that she had pooped her pants in the night. So she put it in the laundry room to be washed. She said that her mom didn't freak out or anything, she just gave her a pad. I don't feel comfortable talking to my mom or dad about this kind of thing and I don't know why. I'm super close with my parents but I don't know how I would tell them when it happens. Help!!

Hey on like Monday or tuesday i ate nonstop and gained like 3 lbs in food and I had a really bad stomach ache but the nurse couldn't do anything so she sent me back 2 class so on like Wed. or Thurs. I went back 2 the nurse to drop off a kid's backpack and she asked if i was ok and I said ya but my back hurted so she asked me if I had my period yet and I said no but my mom had hers at 11 and I just turned 11...then on Friday i went 2 the nurse again and told her i had a stomach ache and she said tough it out and then i had gymnastics practice afterward @ 4:00 pm and on beam I had to do back-walkovers on the high beam(a back walk over is like a bridge kick-over) and my back was killing me so the coach told me to go home so i did and took some advil (2 pills) and i kept doing that till today and my tummy and back still hurt!!!! Is this my period??? Sorry this is so long!! thx tho!!!

 

Hey girl, I'm sorry you're not feeling well!  I'm not exactly sure what the cause is.  If it's been a few days, I would make sure you are keeping a parent/guardian updated, and consider making an appointment with your doc.

MOD MOD MOD! As embarrassing as it is, I have a bad sweating problem and I don't know how to get rid of it! I've tried so many different deodorants and none of them have been working. I wear so much black so that no one can see sweat stains since they're so embarrassing and everyone thinks I'm goth or something and I really wanna get rid of this problem so that I can wear what I wanna wear asap.




I also have a sweating problem. I would sweat a lot and get stains. In the end it doesnt really matter, cuz other people sweat too. One thing that seems to help is drinking a lot of water. Good luck hon. Also my favorite deodorant is secret clinical strength cuz it makes everything smell amazing when youre sweating which makes you feel great. xoxo kerra

hey there malibu747 first thing first just because your friend is 12 and you are 13 and she got her period before you does not in anyway make her anymore mature than you and you should not feel bad or jealous.for some girls periods are a bother but if your like me and excercise and eat healthy cramps wont be as bad.i have had my period since i was 11 i am now 13.girl usally get their periods around or at the same age their mother or older sister got theirs.so you may get it soon.but if you dont you shouldn't sweat it to much because everyones body is diffrent and devolps at its own rate.some girls dont get a period until their 16 or older!but if your still worried you should see a doctor or gyno.visiting a gyno does not mean you have to get a pelvic exam you can just ask questions to help you prepare for when you do get your period and your mom does not have to go with you if you dont want her to,she does not even have to know what you and the gyno talked about.when it comes to your private area "down there" its better to see a gyno or talk to your mom or an older sister.remember shes been there before and probaly had the same questions or worries you have.i really hope that this helps and if you have any more questions you could also ask me just make sure you ask blondebeautybabe thats me.good luck!!

MOD- I have some "peach fuzz" on my upper lip, and since I'm not blonde, its kinda dark. I'm afraid to bleach it, because i think it would look weird with my skin. I've used waxing before, but it doesn't really work and my mom won't let me use nair. Please help i get made fun of a lot for it

 

Hey girl, yea def don't try to bleach it on your own. Maybe ask your mom if you can go to a salon and have a professional wax it. Even offer to do some chores to pay for it-it's usually about $10-15. The waxing does sting at first but it goes away!

Well luckey Im not sure I don't think it could hurt as long as you don't lock yourslef in your room and do it 24 7 it is a natural thing i supose  but most people don't talk about it i guess. see ya tobie

Thanks for this information.. I think I have raging hormones like a wild party inside like you say because I think about boys all the time and I sometimes think about their privates to, so I have felt weird for doing that but it is nice to know it is natural to do that. Does this get worse as you get older?

i know ppl say waxing really hurts, but if your just doing it on your upper lip, honestly, it only hurts for a few seconds, and then u dont have to do it agn for a few weeks. if u have sensitive skin, tho, u might get a "burn", so keep an ice cube handy when you do it.

OKAY so i know u said discharge is normal, but i have been having mine for like 2 YEARS NOW!!!! its kinda like snot(sorry to be gross) and i know its not infected but it smells bad still!!! PLEASE HELP!

 

Many girls get yeast infections which can come from a number of things and during that period you'll have a discharge that smells.  There are other things that cause this too but this can easily be remedied.  So instead of letting the problem linger, save yourself the headache and go see a doctor.  They'll give you an answer and a solution the very day of your visit.                                                                                                                                  CB
