I wasn't sure if I was supposed to shave the hair down there., but I did. Weird bumps have showed up and they really itch! What am I supposed to do and are you supposed to shave hair down there?
Hey girlie, shaving down there is a matter of personal preference. Some girls do and others don't. There is no right or wrong answer. Just make sure you're careful to avoid the bumps. It's because your skin is so sensitive down there. Use a fresh razor blade and shaving cream.

How do you get rid of bikini bumps? I hear that they're just ingrown hairs but I have no idea how to get rid of them.
Hey -horselover-, ugh I hate those!!!! One thing you could do is let the hair grow back out, because by then a lot of bumps go away. A second thing is to apply aloe vera gel to the bumps and let it air dry. You could also experiment with lightly scrubbing that area with a pumice stone after you've shaved. The stone makes it smooth and helps with those annoying bumps. Hope that works! Xoxo

I got a yeast infection at my Cousins 4th of July/birthday pool party!It hurt!Good thing is, it took 2 days to get rid of!

Unfortunately, in the mornings, I teach swim lessons, so I have to be in the water, and in the afternoons, I lifeguard. The only easy way to be safe from infection is to bring a dry suit to change into for the afternoon, and be prepared for getting one anyway. Seems silly, but it could happen. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

ttmod mod Mod MOD!!! i tried to make it my summer goal to lose weight, since i weigh almost 140 pounds. i dont live in a neighborhood and my house is too crowded with other people so i can't work out in private. im starting to get a little worried and anxious, so what can i do to help lose those extra pounds? my friend lost 20 pounds in one month by cutting down a little on her meals. i tried this, but the result was only weight gain. should i give it another go? what do i do? thanks!!

So I'm a competitive swimmer and have a meet this weekend, but the only problem is that I just got my period today (Thursday). I've tried many types of tampons but none of them work. Another problem is that by the 3rd and 4th days (when I'll have my meet) my period will be too heavy to swim without a tampon but too light for a tampon to be lubricated enough to work. I've already tried using the Ultra-Light tampons but they really hurt and I've tried *everything*. What should I do about my swim meet??? (I'm not able to sit it out because its the last meet to qualify for higher leveled meets of the season.)
Hey girlie! The issue isn't that your tampons "don't work"- you probably just aren't using them correctly. Make sure you're using the most absorbant kind ("super", at the very least) and put in a fresh one as often as you need. It sounds like your flow is pretty heavy, so try changing every 30-ish minutes. For the 3rd and 4th days, you're right to use the Ultra-Light tampons. Put the tampon in at the beginning of the day and keep it in for the maximum of 8 hours. That should take away most of the pain. Hope this helps! xo

I have my period I think I got it Sunday anyway I feel...
heavy and really hungry I know I'm not heavy but I feel bloated yesterday for breakfast I had 2 pop tarts
I didn't have lunch but for dinner I had a fish sandwhich fries a strawberry milkshake and then later on I had a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwhich I normally never eat like that my second older sister eats a lot too when she's on her period but all the other times I had my period my appetite was normal also I noticed my breasts get bigger when I'm on my period is all this normal?
Hey GL girl! Don't worry- when you get your period and go through puberty, you can get pretty hungry. Sometimes it takes a long time for your hormones to kick in and make you feel hungry. It's also normal for your breasts to get bigger during puberty. Don't worry!

So I got my period last month around like the 22nd or so, and I know it's usually irregular when it starts, but I'm going to my aunt's around the same time this month and we usually go out on their boat a lot and stuff and I've never used a tampon, and I mean I will if I have to, but is it likely that I'll get it again this month if that was my first time? Thanks
It depends from person to person. I would hope for the best but prepare for the worst (bring tampons, pads, Pamprin, etc.) and if you're still worried about going in the water, just say you have a stomache ache and stay inside. Hope this helps! xx
