okay so this boy keeps joking around and touching me at lunch. i sit next to him sometimes so he jokes around and puts his hand on my thigh. it makes me really mad so push his hand away. everyone is saying that i sit next to him because i want him to touch me. it's really annoying me.




Hey babe,

No matter what people are saying, if this boy is making you uncomfortable, you need to stay away from him. Ask one of your friends to help you out and sit between the two of you so you never have to sit next to him, even if there aren't any other seats.

It's great to like someone for those reasons! It might not mean you like him romantically, but all relationships - romances and friendships - should be about how the person treats you and makes you feel. It can be tough to tell with a guy friend what's friendship and what is more than friendship (for both of you!) but getting jealous over you getting a different partner might be a sign, especially if your partner was another guy. Try to figure out if he pays more attention to what you say than his other friends and if he goes out of his way to spend time with you.

i am really quiet and its really hard for me to meet new friends especially since i started high school. what are good ways to make new friends without having them think im a loser?




Hey babe,

Try joining a club or an activity that you're interested in. You'll be able to meet people who have the same interests as you and it'll be a great way to start talking to people more. Like, if you pass them in the hall you can say "hey, do we have a meeting today?" and get a conversation started.
