ok, heres my OPINION. I am methodist and i am currently dating someone who is baptist, so i totally get where your coming from. also, like you i didn't really know what the difference was. my advice is that if you want to learn about his religion...talk to him about it. thats what i did, i just started asking questions and is opened the door for so many spiritual conversations and now i know him so much better. as for the whole 'does it matter' thing. i bellieve that while i may go to the methodist church, above anything else, i am daughter of God, i have a personal relationship with his son, jesus and even though i mess up like crazy i know that he still loves me and is more than willing to take me back, in fact he WANTS me back. And i believe that as long as i place my value in being a daughter of god, the specifics of methodist, baptist, etc, don't necessiarly matter, as long as you are both chrisitans. also if you want to get another's opinion on the baptist v. methodist thing, ask your youth pastor. It is really very interesting.

Honestly, at your age it shouldn't matter. Religion really only causes problems in relationships when they get very serious in older teen years and in marriage. I'd say, just don't worry about it and have fun with this guy!

I always thought religion in a realtionship isnt that important. I dont think love should get in the way of your differences. I remember when I was in 5th grade and this guy and I were really good friends for about 5 months until he found out that I dont go to church(I am Christian, though). Then he stopped talking to me and said awful things behind my back. I never talked to him again

I don't really find religion a big deal. I dont want to offend anybody, if you have strong beliefs it's cool with me, but love is love and in my opinion, it goes beyond religion.

MOD I like a guy that has a girlfriend. If that isn't enough, my best friend likes him too. I know, i know, it's terrible and I should try to find someone who likes me and only me...but how am I supposed to get over him when he keeps flirting with me? He does it all the time...how can I tell him to stop without hurting our friendship?

hey girl! It's never a good idea to get involved with a guy who's taken because you don't want to be that "other woman." Instead of flat out telling him, try to show him that it makes you uncomfortable by not flirting back or moving away a bit if he touches you. You can also try to mention his gf as a reminder to him that he needs to watch what he's doing. Best, kristen

MOD Heyy(: Well, there's this guy I like, he's in my grade and I have no classes with him, but that doesnt really matter. I pass him in the hallway occasionally and he just waves a little or says hi. I want to bring us a little further than a slight friendship, but idk what to do! i considered the arm-touching thing, but that wouldnt make any sense in a small wave or a pass in the hallway, so it wouldnt work. I used to text him but he's boring on texting and it gets us nowhere so I gave up. Haha, what do you consider I do for this situation? k, thanks tonss. (: --christina

Hey girl! I'd try texting him again. Ask him how he's been and what he's been up to. Ask him to hang out some time in person either after school or during the weekend. You can go on a date, or a group date with your friends if you don't want it to seem too official. best of luck, Kristen

i had a bf for a really short time but he broke up with me because he was VERY religious and since im not, he thought i would influence him to lose his faith. he said god was telling him to wait for a gf. we r still bestest buds, but i was mad at him for a long time cause he was so close minded.

Mod On thursday night it was wierd cause someone from camp he was like gus likes you and last weekend he was like gus misses you but i'm not sure if i should believe him or not.By the way two people found out that i like dan and i didn't say anything to them and i don't know how they found out.Then on friday as i was leaving at lunch i am pretty sure that dan was looking at me.Mean anything?Kayla xoxo

Hey girl! I don't know what to make of Gus. He's probably just teasing. As for finding out about your crush on Dan, those guys may have heard you talking to friends or even seen you looking/flirting with him. If Dan looked at you, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Best, Kristen

~Mod~Mod~ {sorry this is long!} Hey girl!

If you got time can you please help me real quick? Okay so we had homecomming a couple of nights ago, [SOOOO fun!] And a guy that i liked in 7th and 8th grade {still kinda do this year also} came. So I REALLY wanted to dance with him, and I told my friend that she can go ask him to dance w/ me. So she did and she said *we'll call him Joe* "Hey Joe, Can you PLEASE dance with _____?" She said he sounded flattered, and he did blushing face and said "Maybe later." So a bit later she goes up to him and he says "It's not later." So it's 30 mins. until the dance is over, and I'm like "THAT IT! Is he going to dance with me or NOT!?" So she goes over to him and then he says "No." She said not the rude way AT all. He didn't dance with any girls AT ALL, he just mostly hung out with his friends. But I got REALLY sad at first and went to the bathroom and almost cried, but I'm like "You can't cry over him." And during that time period of him thinking about dancing with me - saying no he KEPT ON looking over at me! I'm SO confused! And the part I'm SO not excited for is he's in my science and english class. Science he sits SOOO close to me, and I ACTUALY started talking to him this year WAY more, and I don't want to ruin it!

My friend said don't worry about cuz he sounded flattered that someone wanted to dance w/ him, and they get along reallly good so she'll kick his butt {HAHA!} But in a way I can't just not worry about it! Thank you!

Hey missy, guys can be shy about dancing, so maybe he was nervous to dance in front of his buds, especially since they weren't dancing. So when you guys are in class together, be cool about it. You could even make a little joke of it, by saying something like "Why didn't you wanna dance with me? I'm not that bad am I?" That way you can show him there are no hard feelings.

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!! ok,so i like this guy named drake.he's 2 years older than me and we're good friends.he told me that he doenst like any1 at the moment.i also like another guy named jordan(who is also 1 of drake's best friends),but not nearly as much as drake.jordan has been givin me signs lately(ex.i caught him staring at me the other day and he got all embarrassed and stuff like that).i dont know jordan very well,but we're in the same classes and he seems like a great guy.i wanna let go of drake and just like jordan,but i cant.wat should i do?srry its so long.
