I have the "Burst's Bees Natural Acne Solution Pore Refining Scrub" it works very well! I have combination skin too. In the summer my skin gets very oily and in the winter my skin gets super dry it's annoying! But I rather have oily skin because you can just use any Oil-Free wash.

Is it true that either lemon juice or vinegar can take away acne? I have quite oily skin, and I'm having trouble getting rid of my infected blister. I've been trying to use either of them, but I feel that I think it's getting worse. Do you have any advice that could get rid of it?

ok so im been using this thing on my face called stridex maximum it looks like its already working cuz i used it right now and do you know how long it will take to get it all my pimples from my forehead there already fading away but i still have some. thxs!!! Smile

Hey girl,

How long it will take your skin to clear up really depends on your skin and the product. If you aren't seeing the results you want, talk to your parents about going to a dermatologist for professional skin advice!

Hey chica!  Sounds like something your doctor might be able to help you with you issue.  Until then, try sticking to products with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide and making sure you exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. Good luck!  xoxo

mod mod mod i had really clear skin before a few days ago now i have tiny bumps between my eyebrows&forehead what gives???

Hey girl,

It sounds like you have a lil' breakout, but it's nothing a little salicylic acid can't fix! If your forehead is sweaty or oily since it's summer, you might be more likely to break out. Try using a cleanser with salicylic acid and if you're still breaking out you can talk to a doc to get a pro opinion!

Ever since i was a little girl i've had these weird bumps on the on the outside of my arms and some on the outside of my legs no matter how much lotion i use they won't go away what are they and how do i get rid of them?

Hey girl!

I actually have similar bumps on my arms too! I've had them since I was younger. If you have the same thing as me, unfortunately, they don't go away. Visit your dermatologist. He or she can prescribe a lotion or pads to use on your arms daily to make it go away. If you stop using the prescribed lotion, the bumps will come back. If you don't want to do that, make sure you moisturize your arms right after you get out of the shower while your skin is still a bit damp.

I have terrible under eye circles. What can i do about them? and whenever i use a concealer, u can usually see my pimples in my nose area. What gives?

Hey chica, for the under-eye circles, make sure you're gettin' plenty of sleep and are eating a healthy diet. Especially fill up on fruits and veggis, and nix the salt. If ya want a remedy, try laying down with cool, damp tea bags over your eyes for about ten minutes for a few mornings. And as for your nose, concealor works differently on different parts of your face depending on their oil content.

I have terrible bumps around my nose area and it looks REALLY bad. Should I use a pore strip? And what can I use to keep it from coming back?

Hey babe, the best thing to do is to keep the area clean. Use an anti-bacterial face wash twice a day, and exfoliate once a week. Washing with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide would probably help, too.

Hey babe,

I had really bad acne and my dermatologist pinpointed exactly what was causing it and prescribed me either pills or creams for it.  I would research some stuff on the internet about dealing with hormonal acne or the benefits of a dermatologist or even Acutane.  Show her that you're serious with some proof!

how do i get rid of a shiny nose (bsides washing my face)???

Hey Girl!

I have plenty of tips for you! Dipping a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and going over the oily areas of your face will help. The alcohol will absorb the oil right away. There are many types of oil sheets which you can swipe over your face to help ya feel less slick. They're quick and easy. For face lotion, use something light. You want to stay moisturized, but don't need anything heavy.

I have these weird tiny pimple on my arms. Some white stuff comes out when I squeeze it. Ive had these bumps for YEARS!! My mom says I get them for sweating And it should go away by the end of summer. And It hasnt last summer. Do you know whats wrong with arms and how to get rid of it ?
Thanks in advance!
Gabby~

Hey Gabbyw123!

I feel ya! I get those in the summer, too. You're mom is right-sweating makes us more prone to pimples. Sadly, there is no remedy to stop us from sweating, but there are other ways to get rid of these pesky pimples. After working out, change out of your sports gear and head to a shower ASAP. Using a body wash with salicylic acid will also help ya out. Finally, a healthy diet is key if you want to banish these blemishes. Don't skimp on your fruits and veggies and get your dose of antioxidants with a healthy cup of green tea. The truth is that your pimples are probably only noticeable to you, so don't fret. If you feel really uncomfortable throw on a long sleeve t-shirt to cover 'em up.

I dont have that many pimples or zits or anything and I rarely get them, but my skin is really unevenly colored!!! and under my eyes is really discolored, like its light blueish and purplish and i always have to put concealer on!!! like its not scary colorful, but its not skin color. What can I do to get it normal colored????

Hey girlie,

That's totally normal! Sometimes we have bags under our eyes from not getting enough sleep or not drinking enough water, but the skin there is very thin so it's more likely we'll be able to see veins and other "under skin" stuff that will make the color of your skin seem different. I use concealer under my eyes too so I can even out my skin tone! Smile

MODMODMOD why didnt my comment get posted i followed the rules all i asked was how to get a flat stomach by July????

Hey girl! I'm not sure what happened there--sorry about that! You have plenty of time to get a flat stomach by July. Start out by cleaning up your diet as much as possible. Your daily diet is key in getting rid of belly fat! Replace junk foods with whole foods. Eat lots of fruits and veggies, good sources of protein (chicken, fish, yogurt), whole grains (oatmeal, whole wheat bread), and healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, avocados). Also be sure to drink plenty of water each day. Try to do high intensity exercises, like sprinting combined with jogging. Sprint for 30 seconds, then jog for 1 minute, and then repeat for 30 minutes. Weight lifting to build muscle is also something good to do!

I get these little itchy white bumps on my face in the summer. Mainly on my eyelids. What are they?!

Hey girl, I'm not a doctor, so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but I'm thinking it could be a reaction to the heat. Sweat could be trapped in your pores, causing the itchy white bumps. I'd suggest seeing your doctor ASAP to try and prevent the problem before the summer!

I'm currently using Cetiphil, the gental kind, but it dries my skin out really bad too. Do you have any suggestions for face washes?!? Thanx Smile

I think your best bet is to continue using the Cetaphil gentle wash, but afterward, put on a facial creme that works with your skin type to counteract the dryness. Jordan S.

Hey girl,

If you can't wear dresses, why not grab a cute new skirt, or even a cute top to wear with jeans or shorts! A new pair of ballet flats would also be a great way to spruce up your look. If you can't wear makeup yet, try a different hairstyle -- our hair channel has tons of great ideas Smile

My grandma says I should wipe it off with a tissue but idk. What else should I do? Also could I break out if I use way too many face cleaners???? Thanks!!

Hey girlie,

A tissue works, or you could try Clearasil Daily Oil Control Wipes (or a similar product) designed to pick up oil from your skin throughout the day. They really work! Remember not to touch your face with your hands since you could transfer oils from your fingers... and stay hydrated! You could break out if you use really harsh face cleansers or if you wash your face too often, but if you're happy with the products you're using, you should be ok! I've been using that Cetaphil cleanser on my oily, sensitive skin for months. It is AMAZING! So gentle and makes my skin so clear and soft. I had been using salysilic acid for awhile and it worked but it burned my face and broke me out more sometimes. But this works so well and is gentle! I love it! I follow up with an olay sensitive skin lotion and once a week this gel called tretinol that my derm proscribed, altogether it works like a charm.

MODMODMOD! Ok, I'm freaking out a little bit here, and was wondering if you could help me out.About a week ago, when I was showering, I noticed a dime-sized spot on the size of my breast. It looks just like a bruise, and when I showed it to my mom, that's what she said it was. But it's been like a week and it hasn't gone away, and it doesn't hurt at all. It doesn't hurt to put pressure on it, like a normal bruise either. What the heck is it, and what should I do about it? Thanks!

Hey girlie,

Keep an eye on it, but try not to stress about it! It could just be a bruise that isn't very deep (so it doesn't hurt a lot)... nothing to worry about for now! If it's still there in a few weeks, talk to your mom again and show it to her. Let her know exactly how long it's been there and then you two can decide if you should see a doctor. Smile

Do you know anything that could help? Thanx ahead of time!!! Laughing

Hey girlie,

It might seem "weird" to you, but this is actually totally normal! As always, keep your skin exfoliated and moisturized to keep it healthy. (And don't forget to drink lots of water!) You could help balance your skintone by working foundation/powder into your makeup routine. Or you could try a self-tanning lotion, if you want! But there's no way to change the chemistry of your skin - you can only embrace it Smile And hey, it's something you have in common with your dad, which is pretty cool!

MOD MOD MOD My skin is has been super itchy lately. (Mostly my legs.) So then when I scratch my skin it leaves a rash. I have been using Eucerin Daily Body Wash and Cetaphil moisturizer. Any other ideas or advice to help me get rid of my dry, itchy skin?

Hey girlie,

Try switching up your moisturizer! Cetaphil works for some skin types, but sometimes you just need a different moisturizer to help do the trick. (I love St. Ives personally.) Take a warm shower or bath to soothe your skin, then apply the moisturizer after you get out so your skin really absorbs the moisture. It could help to put a pair of cotton pajama pants on top right after your apply, to seal in the moisture! Smile If this doesn't help, try talking to your doctor, who could recommend a more powerful moisturizer or even a medication to get your skin back on track.

Hey girly! I have found that the best time to work out is right after school, before starting your homework. That way you get out all of your energy before settling down to do your work and will be able to focus much better.
