MOD MOD MOD so im babysitting these 2 little girls on saturday and ones 5 years old and ones 8 months old... i still want to play with the 5 year old but clearly i cant just leave the 8 month old by her self... what can i do to entertain both of them?

 

Hey girly, you could always pop a kiddie movie in for the 5 year old while you tend to the little 8 month old. The baby would be happy with a nice toy to play with, while you play dolls or tea party with the 5 year old. Keep them both in the same room so you don't have to run back and forth to check on both of them. Smile

ok so i am 15 and i am babysitting this little girl that is 3 on saturday from 8am to 7pm and on sunday from 8am to 6am what should i charge for each day? i have no clue and i dont want to charge too much

Hey girl,

Every family is different, it depends on the child's age and hours. But since it's a young child and you're babysitting long hours, an average price would probably be $8 an hour. Sometimes parents also take into occassion the age and experience of the babysitter, so it should be a negotiation between the two. Ask your mom or dad if they have any advice!

I'm so happy that I'm not an official 'babysitter' yet. I'm still more of a 'mother's helper'. I go to my aunt's bible study every Friday and watch the kids there, and it's fun. I love kids, and they often love me, too! I just stink at cooking, so I'm just happy I don't have to worry about it until next year, when I'll be old enough to really babysit and parents might make me cook. Let's just say I can only cook scrambled eggs and store-bought cookies right now!
