ok I TOTALLY get what your going through! I'm a dancer it's my life and I was almost where I wanted to be in dance then one morning I came down with a bad bug that never went away. On january 7th it will mark a year of no dance I cry almost every night about it and how I want to be normal again. Doctors can't help me cause beside having really awful symptoms (nausea, fatigue, joint pain) my tests are fine. Who Knows when I'll get better and be able to dance again. I've lost most of my dance skills now as in flexability and strength, and am behind in all my classes. The only advice I can really give you is to review every thing you can, watch videos, mime the steps (it really works to help your body to remember). laugh.dance.smile

I had an ongoing knee injury (in each knee)for the pat two years. I would have to it out of ballet classes after only five minute of dancing and it got so bad that I didn't go to class at all because right away my knees would start hurting and I would stop dancing. My doctor(s) had been trying for 2 years to figure out what was wrong with me, but no matter what we tried (and we tried a lot) nothing would cure me. So, me, my mom, and my doctor decided it was best if I had an arthroscopic (they go in with a camera) to see what was wrong. They found the injury and fixed me, but I couldn't dance for 6 weeks. It was hard and painful. When I finally got to dance again I had lost a lot of my skills. But I worked hard and became an even better dancer than before. But then in July I had the same surgery on the other knee. I'm healed now and my knees don't hurt, but I'm not the same dancer I was before.

I know how you feel when you can't do any of the things you love. Just tell yourself that it will be over soon, and that maybe you could find some other hobbies to do in the meantime.
