MOD, I'm too young to babysit or anything like that. What are some ideas that I could do that are easy, but still get paid?

You could definitely help out around the house and get paid for doing your chores! Or maybe if you live in a neighborhood, you could walk for neighbors dogs for $5, or something.  There are plenty of ways to get paid, you just need to get creative!

MOD MOD MOD I REALLY want to pet-sit, but my mom won't let me (I'm 11). Any ways to convince her I'm responsible enough to?

Hey girly! I would start showing your mom how responsible you are in everyday life, so that she'll know that you can handle it. Do chores around the house without being asked. And help take care of the pets (or even younger siblings) that you already have. Hopefully she'll see that you're making a big effort! Smile

uh-oh. I can't do these things! i live in the country so......nobody to baby-sit, no one goes on vacation ('cause farming is all year!), no one to sell things to, no sports! I can only do the chores and do extra farming! can't you guys realize that not every girl is a city chick?!

MOD
I've tried all of these, actually...I live in a small neighborhood, and I do babysit a lot, but...
I have to buy my own car when I'm driving. That's a year away! See, my parents both work full-time now, and, even though i have older siblings, i still couldn't get a ride anywhere, including school (i go to a dif high school than my sister)so I have to buy my own car.
I'm putting as much money into the bank as I have - all the interest, though small, does add up - and not shopping as much, and when i do, i buy presents on sale or make them.
but still, i only have 2,000 dollars in my savings account! I've learned from my brothers that if you buy a crappy car, a cheap car, you'll end up replacing it in no time.
I was thinking about tutoring during lunch and free period...do you think that's a good idea? A few people have told me that it's harder than it looks and doesn't pay much, since a lot of people don't want to pay for extra help.
So do you have any other hints, anything at all, that might help me earn cash over the next year?
Thanks so much!

hey babe! You could try selling old things, used books, clothes, any items you no longer need or want.
