Ok so I take FOREVER in the morning to get ready. I take a shower, wash my face and brush my teeth, i do my make up and hair and it still takes me and hour and a half to get ready! Do you have any tips on me getting ready faster? Thanks!

Hey girl,

You can put on some powder, blush, and maybe mascara if you want in the mornings. And there are tons of creams that get rid of eye puffiness that you can find in drugstores, or you can also try putting cucumbers on your eyes at night. x0x0

i get up late in the morning so what i do is put a lil gel in my hair after i brush it n fix my bangs or put any accessories in my hair and then a lil eyeliner on top n bottom smear some colored shadow on my top lash line and a lil mascara if i have time. doesn't take long at all

Kso, tmw I have to wake up at 6:00 and get to school by 6:30 for a field trip. Which means I don't have enough time to do my hair etc. So I know I'm going to put my hair up in a ponytail . But my bangs are usually really really wavy in the morning. So is there something quicker than my straightener ? Like Hairspray or something ?




Hey girl, I think just straightening the bangs themselves is your best bet. You can multitask, however. While your straightener is heating up, get dressed or eat breakfast.

thanks for answeringg my questions. me and my bff have a bet that i have to ask someone to dance at the dance. i don't know who to ask! First, theres the guy i like, who use to like me i used to like him but we never dated because he was to nervous to ask me out and then moved on long story!Tong so it might be kinda awkwaard! Then, theres the guy that all my friends think i should ask because me and him have become closer and we're good friends. But like, i don't know whether i should just plaay it safe, or risk it and go for it with the guy i like. I'm scared that i'm gonna like screw it up, i know its just slow dancing but it's like i don't know, my first dance, i want to remember it! What guy do u think i should ask?




No prob girlie- that's what we're here for. I'd go for the second one! Be bold and ask him to dance! The worst that can happen is he can say no. If so, move on and ask someone else (maybe the first guy?).

The PERFECT everyday middleschool makeup is:
-Copper/Brown Topaz eyeliner on upper lashline (Or black if the brown doesn't play up your eye color, but the brown is VERY pretty)
-Smudge white eyeliner on the inner corner of your eye and on your waterline
-Colossal Mascara by Maybelline in whatever color suits you best
-**OPTIONAL** Add a metallic brownish gray eyeshadoow EX: "Private Beach" from Victoria's Secret
-Of course a little concealer if you have a couple zits, but if you have freckles, my God DON'T cover them up!!! They're part of what makes you you!!!

Hey I am always hurrying in the morning and I just use a bit of darker eyeshadow on my lid, brown mascara, and eyeliner if I have time. I also use a bit of lipcolor- it usually lasts only for a priod so use it before the class your crush is in;)

Hey girlie. I think it would be pretty to play up your eyes. Use a very black mascara and black eyeliner on the top of your eye lid. Use a soft pink blush and if you are feeling adventurous, a red lipstick or lip gloss.

last night, i went to CVS and bought some foundation... liquid and some powder from almay. I have really oily acne prone skin that is red-ish.I used a sponge and brush to to put it on...I thought I'd done a fair job at applying it before school this morning, but my friends said I needed to distribute more...What is a good way of putting on foundation and mascara? thanks :]




Hey girl, I actually like powder foundations personally: they're easier to blend. As for this cream, I'd suggest putting a dot on your forehead, cheeks and nose and then rubbing it all over to blend in. The key is to not use too much.

Hey girl, you don't need eye liner honestly, but if you wear it, I'd only wear a light color on your top lid. As for mascara, there's nothing special. Apply it to your top lashes and maybe one coat or two to your bottom.

Ok, so last week I got revlon tweezers from walmart for like $3. They are slanted and they are all metal. When I try to pluck it hurts almost worse than getting my eyebrows waxed, and it usually leaves red dots, and gives me a headache. Do you think its because of my tweezers, or something else? You are DEFINITELY not alone. Tons and tons of girls cant wear make-up at your age (even though it may not seem that way). At your age, a lot of make-up isn't really necessary either! Especially not in School! Wash your face at least twice a day to keep your skin clear and even and no one will even notice you aren't wearing make-up!

I have reallllly uber thick wavy (but not pretty waves, like uncontrollable waves) hair. It takes forever to straighten in the morning but is there a quicker way to tone down my frizz and make my waves look like sels on tha cover of this issue of gl?

 

Hey girl! Try a scrunch gel, apply to damp hair and let air dry. Should tame frizz. Then you can work your hair with a curling iron to get the waves you want.

I used to cut my hair short evry summer but this summer i didnt and now its pretty long. i also swim year round so when it was short it was so much easier to deal with. my hair is damaged from chlorine but i love it long cause i can curl and scrunch it. if its short i just leave it naturally straight. I want to cut it short but evryone ino has long hair. What should I do?

 

I don't think you should make your decision about your hair based on what everyone else does. Pick a hairstyle that you like! Maybe you could get it a little shorter, but long enough so that if you don't like it you can grow it out again. You could ask your friends and family if they think a short hairstyle would look good on you, too.

1. I would either try embracing it, and then if anyone says anything, you could talk about soccer! Always make sure that you wear lots of sunscreen and you might not get a tan line. 2. I would try using a shaving cream for sensitive skin. I have also heard that rinsing your legs in cold water afterwards helps decrease the bumps you may get. 3. You could look for natural colors — maybe different shades of brown eyeliner or mascara, or light pastel shades of eyeshadow, that highlight the features you already have. 4. I think layers would be cute! Just make sure that you'll still be able to pull your hair back in a ponytail. You could also make sure that you wear a headband if the layers would fly back in your face during your soccer games.

MOD MOD MOD Hey! I have extrememe pale skin! Think Bella in twilight especially when its fall and winter. And I have the brown hair and the brown eyes but also I have dreaded glasses. I dont know what kind of makeup to use to compliment everything without looking like a mess. And I also need help with my hair. Its about an inch below my shoulder side swept bangs and THICK. I LOVE how it looks when its curled but its so thick that I can spray half a can of hairspray on it and by the end of the day theres no curl. I dont know what to do with it anymore!

 

 

Hey there girly, a little blush will give you a healthy glow, without being too drastic. Go for a light rosy color, rather than anything too harsh. As for makeup, you simply need to spend a night in front of your mirror expiramenting with different colors and products. That way, you can find a look that works for you. Also, you can go to a department store makeup counter for a free makeover! Check out the counters at Sephora, Macys, the Bonton, etc. The ladies there can help you to find complimentary shades. As for the curly hair, you should try hot rollers. They work wonders! Put them in your hair for a good half hour or so, then upon taking them out, hold your head upside down and spray under your hair, as well as on top, with hairspray. But, not too much, because you don't want to weight your curls down!

I love and have skirts and have girlier shirts (V necks pick purple ect) but i want to know how to pair them in a girlier way. i like my skirts that are sorta poofy best. Also i want to get a plaid button down shirt. i go to a "farmer" school but we dont live on a farm how can i wear that and look girly and cute not like i just had a pig show?

 

Hey chica! Accessories are a great way to make you look girly. Wear a cute headband with a bow, or a skirt with tights and a tee. Wear some cute dangly earrings, or a fun necklace. Forever21 has lots of cute things for cheap! As for the plaid button down, wear it with skinny jeans and some flats, or tall boots. Very cute!

Hey girl, it really takes practice. I use a curling iron and the way I learned was through demonstration and then practicing. I'd suggest for you buying fabric curlers though. You can get curl that way without heat: just sleeping in them is enough.

You could try a cute eyeshadow or lipgloss if you want to wear light makeup but not mascara or eyeliner. I get my makeup at Wal-Mart, where you can find some cheap things (although most makeup is unfortunately kind of expensive). You could also try Target or something like CVS or Rite-Aid.

Please help!I am 14 and I love makeup ( only macara ,blush and tinted moisturizer with SPF)but I never wear any for school ( and I want to!) or when I go out with my friends ( as they don't really wear makeup) and they think makeup is pointless and is only for the popular girls. What should I do? I want to wear it but i don't want them to laugh at me or think I'm trying to be someone I'm not as they think I have no interest in makeup!

 

Maybe you could just let them know that you like makeup and aren't trying to impress anyone, but you just enjoy wearing it. You may not even have to bring it up to them: if you wear makeup and it's not really extreme or anything, it may just highlight your face but they might not realize you are wearing any or be checking your face for makeup. Then, if they bring it up, you could casually explain that you like wearing makeup but you aren't trying to be anything you're not.

Just like the article says, it's no big deal if you have it later than some girls.  It's totes normal if you haven't had it yet, so give your bod time.  If it doesn't show up by 16 or so, or if you have other concerns, def check in with your doc.

I was at my local fair today, and I was sitting across from this booth where you buy sodas from, eating. There was this guy there and he was looking at me. I got up and asked for a soda, and paid him. The first thing he said to me was "do you live around here?" Is that a pick-up line? Then there was this girl that walked by, and he said "that's my cousin, she comes through here a lot" and my friend thought he said that because he wanted to make sure I knew it wasn't his girlfriend. He kept looking at me, and when I passed later on in the day, he waved at me. You think he likes me? I asked him what grade he was going into, he said senor year, and he asked me and I said freshman year, but he still seemed interested...? But I never got a name or number Frown

Hey girl, maybe you could try some dark eyeshadow or smudge some eyeliner around the edges of your eyelids, right about your top eyelashes and below your bottom eyelashes? Have some eye makeup remover ready in case it looks too dark- you don't want it to look like a black eye. Girls, if you have tips, add them on because I don't really do smoky eyes!

Hey girlie, Neutrogena makes good face washes for oily skin. Wash your face with it twice a day and tell your mom to think of it as an investment. Usually facial products will last you up to a couple months so you're not going to have to buy it regularly.

I know it's bummer to think she might say no, but the only way to find out is to ask!  Approach her at a time when she's not busy or stressed, and just ask her if it would be okay if you started trying out some make-up.  Tell her what you told me - you don't want to go overboard, you just want to try out some new products.  Be willing to listen to her side, and show that you will be responsible.  If you handle it maturely, hopefully she will say yes!

Hey girl, You should be sure to wash your face twice a day and you could try using a cream that you can find at a regular store like Wal-Mart. Have a parent set up an appointment for you with a dermatologist (skin doctor) to see if there's anything they can suggest you do about your whiteheads. He or she might be able to give you a prescription cream that can help, or give you additional tips.

MOD MOD MOD I need some help with choosing the right lipstck/lipgloss color. I want something that's noticable but not awful looking. A darker color really, but all the colors I try are either way to light or too pinkish looking. Any tips on choosing the right color? I have a light olive complexion but I have a tan.

 

Gosh, it's tough to find the right color, isn't it?  Maybe you could try a cherry colored gloss - red is bold, but choosing gloss over lipstick will keep it more natural.  Plum, which is like a darker purple-ish shade, is also really cool for fall.  Keep testing out shades, and you'll find one!

Hey girl, assuming you already got them and took the tags off, there's not much you can do for now except for wear a belt. If you haven't taken the tags off yet, maybe you could talk to your mom about returning them and ask if you can get a smaller size.

First of all congrats on donating your hair! That's really admirable. Maybe you could dress up your hair with some cute headbands or hairclips. Or, you could add in some cute jewelry to your outfit. Makeup could be a good accent too, if you like makeup.

I just Shaved My Legs For The very first time! I only got one cut which is hardly noticable! I got into the shower wet my legs put on LOADS of shaving cream and shaved after that i Put Some Mouistuizer on to and thats all! Is there anything else i ahve to do to keep my legs si;ky smooth for a beach party tomorrow thx???

ok i need advice on a lot of things, but im just gonna ask bout one thing here: i've always wanted 2 b more unique, like funky bright colors but still kinda girly. but my mom ONLY shops at thrift stores usually Savers. and u might think a thrift store could have more unique funky things then at a regular store but they seriously dont. they just have ugly jeans and t-shirts and some dresses and yeah. but i really need help 2 get more cooler clothes!! cuz if i could shop wherever i wanted i would go 2 Wet Seal and forever 21, hot topic and this really cool store called Dots. not aeropostale and abercrombie cuz those r all boring. yeah, sorry 4 making this so long. bye!!!




I'm not really sure what you're asking... But, maybe you can come to an agreement with your mom.  What if you borrowed some money from your mom to go shopping and got some staples- like a funky necklace, cool skinny jeans, and some pretty earrings.  Having trendy accessories can be just what you need to spice up your outfit- then you can find the rest at a thrift store!

i like the hair length i have now, i got a haircut like a month ago. its a little past my shoulders, layered. and i got sidebangs that i really liked but they are growing out now. i think i want to get the same length trim before school starts because i think it looks better when its down, but then i can't do as much cool stuff with my hair (like braiding, messy buns) when its shorter. help please! thanks Smile i really appreciate all the mods help!

It's layered and I have side bangs. I mostly straighten my hair. I have an oval shaped face. How should I get my haircut and are there are celeb haircuts u recommend? I'm open for just about anything!




It all depends on what you want! If you want to be really trendy, you could do straight across bangs, and cut your hair shorter.  Or, you could work with the style you've had, and do the same thing.... It's totally up to you!

MOD MOD MODMODMOD MOD! OK so there is this girl who goes to my church.. and we have never really been friends and she has always been really mean and all that stuff. But she has always been friends with the girls in the grade above her, and she has always been all over the guys in that grade too. But Recently all of those people moved up to the high school sunday school class. So then she started being all nice to me AND she started crawling all over my BGF/crush (who is a grade below us.), since there are no more older guys for her to crawl all over. SO I am not sure if I should be her friend or not. I think she is using me to get to my BGF, cuz she has never been this nice to me. And I am worried if I become her friend that I will be ditched next year when we move up to the high school class and she is back with her friends. So should become her friend? Or just be "friendly" to her?




Just because you're friendly with her, doesn't mean you have to become her BFF.  So, I think you should be friendly with her, and get to know her as a person.  Get to know her... It may be true that she will leave you next year when she is in the same class with the older kids again, but as for now, be friendly!

I have super greasy hair and I was wondering what would help the best. I am usin baby shampoo, and My hair has improved, but I was wondering if there was something that might help a little better.




If you have greasy hair, maybe don't use conditioner, because that helps to moisturize your hair.  Sticking with shampoo will help to clean your hair, without providing lots of moisture!

Layers could really help you out if you have thick hair, because it thins it out.. Making it easier to manage! For round faces, it can be great if you get angles around your face, as it gives your hair more shape!

It's never to early to start planning the first day of school outfit! I'm not sure what look you're going for, but you could either go with a fun and summer-y sundress, or maybe you want to rock some skinny jeans with a funky tee.  Wear something that makes you feel super comfortable (you don't want to be tugging at your dress all day...)

If they're you're guy friends, they'll want to hang out with you! It can always be weird initiating a text conversation, but someone has to start it! If they don't respond to your first text, don't attack them multiple texts- just hang tight, and wait for their response!

I'm getting my hair cut on Monday for school(which starts in 2 weeks). Right now I have an a-line bob that the longest part(front) is about at my shoulders. The back and part of the sides are like an inch from my shoulders. I want to get away from the aline bob because I had it last year too. I'm starting high school this year, so I want somehting different. I also have side bangs and my hair is naturally curly/wavy but I straighten it most of the time. I'm also TRYING to grow it out. Do you think I should just get it cut so that its all one length at the length of my back, and get some layers? Please tell me your opinion! Thanks! C:




If you want to get away from your a-line cut, it sounds like you're going to have to take it all to one length! So, if you're willing to do that, I'd go for it! Also, chopping off all of that hair will get rid of any dead ends, which can be really helpful, and speed up the growth of your hair!

Hey girl! I haven't used the spray shampoo before but I think it looks like a great idea.  If you're worried about conditioner, you could always get a spray-leave in conditioner and use that afterwards, then brush!

My problem is kind of odd. Almost all the guys who have or do like me are one or two years younger, at least the one's I've known of. It's not really bad, because some of these guys are really cute and sweet. In fact, I like one of the guys who's hit on me. But, there are some probs too. My friends and some people who know about this have started calling me a cougar, and it's really bugging me. Some of the guys who like me are also immature, and when they show they like me, it's embarresing. The final thing is that I can't go with any of them to dances, at least not this year, because I'm in highschool and we can't bring or go with the middle schoolers. I'm also wondering why none of the guys in my grade seem to be attracted to me. And why do the younger kids only hit on me? This hasn't happened to anyone else in my grade, except a couple times with the really popular girls. What's the deal?

Maybe you're attracting guys in your grade (and in highschool) as well as the younger guys, but the younger guys are more likely to show it!  I think if you like a guy a year younger than you, it doesn't matter.  One year is not a big difference, and if you both like one another then it doesn't matter what anyone else says! Do what makes you happy- and you are definitely not a cougar!

Make sure you have have a tampon with an applicator. Also, use a mirror. I had to!!!! It might feel weird, but once you go to tampons, you should never go back!!

Hey girl! try talking to your mom, or another female relative who is close, or a doctor.  Also, try a tampon that is labeled "Slim fit", with a plastic easy to use applicator.  When you try to enter the tampon angle it backwards slightly, instead of straight up.

hey girl! You don't need it, you're beautiful without it.  Try asking your mom why she won't let you, and if there's a certain reasoning behind it.  Mascara is more defining than any other eye makeup. It can really open your eyes, try one that says "Lash Lengthening" for a more dramatic affect!
