This is exactly the opposite problem for me, I need
to gain weight, I got high metabolism, everyone tells
me tht I look like I didn't eat for months! I eat
regularly! Sometimes I skip meals, sometimes I eat
junk food, I wanna be healthy not a too skinny girl!
Plus some girls in my skool even said, youre the
skinniest person I ever met, but alas you can
charm every cutie in our school without noticing!
Ugh! Plz help! My doctor even said I need to eat more!
EVERYBODY TELLS ME!




Hey girlie,

I think asking your doc what he would suggest is a good idea. But if you want to gain weight then it's not a good idea to be skipping meals.

Hey chica! Did you see where I answered this when you posted it before? If not, you can always add some more activity to your daily routine. Cut out most of the junkfood that you eat, and replace it with healthy treats, like fruits. Play a sport with a friend, walk your dog if you have one, jump some rope, or do a workout or dancing video after school each day. Find a fun way to get moving Smile

And, just so you know, losing weight fast is never healthy. The faster you lose it, the less likely you are to keep it off.

MOD MOD MOD Dear MOD, I am 13, in the 8th grade, and weigh 135 pounds!! I am bigger than most girls in my class (expesially in my waist line!) and it makes me super self consious. I looked at the BMI calculator and it said I should weigh 110! I need a way to lose 20 pounds FAST! Help!!!

 

 

Hey chica! First of all, FAST weight loss is unhealthy, and the faster you lose it, the more likely you are to gain it back. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Start adding more activity and exercise into your schedule. Walk around your neighborhood with a friend each afternoon, or take your dog for a daily walk. Join a gym, or rent/buy a workout video. And, cut out fast food from your diet. You can eat it every now and then, but on a daily basis, you shouldn't drink soda, eat fast foods, or other junk excessively. Add some fruits and veggies to your diet. And, try some new recipes at home with your mom for dinner Smile

mod mod mod i really love wearing shorts and when i walk i look down a lot and i always notice my theighs jiggling it makes me a lil self concesice nd i know im not a big girl what should i do the get my theighs more firm

 

Hey girl!  Eating a variety of nutritous foods and exercising - especially a mix of cardio and strength - is the best way to have a healthy and toned bod.  GL has lots of great workouts that you can try.  But also, remember that everybody "jiggles" a little - it's totally normal!

Hey all!
A little healthy food advice, building on what Becca G said with example (moi)...
I am a pescetarian. Basically, that means I eat seafood, but no other meat. My mom actually had a pescetarian pregnancy, so I have never had land meat. I have been skinny (in a healthy way, just lower part of healthy) all my life... just this year I was actually TRYING to gain weight so I could ride in the front seat! So if you're thinking about making a healthier change to your diet, go pescetarian.
Another little tip about healthier diet: For 'painless' fruits and veggies, mash up or shred some and add to your regular home-cooked food. You will hardly even notice it! Also try getting veggie pizzas when you do have pizza.

Hey girly girl! It all depends on how much you weight now and how healthy you are. If you are tiny now, then 5 pounds is a whole lot to lose. However, if you're bigger, than you should be able to lose 5 pounds. Try getting some cardio exercise for a half hour each day. Walk your dog, jump rope with some friends, go to a gym, or do a workout DVD. And, cut out most fast food and junk. Try to eat lean proteins, like chicken and fish, and eat lots of fruits and veggies. But, above all, make sure not to starve yourself. If you eat too little, then your body will go into starvation mode and stop burning calories.

MOD MOD MOD!!PLEASE HELP ME.I'm so out of shape and i can hardly run 1 mile in pe I need some ideas to help m get in shape.Because im only 12 I have to where size 7 or 9 jean when my friends where 0. So i makes me feel really fat please help!!ThanksSmile




Hey girl, not at all! That just means you have a different bone structure. That said, you can bring up your running endurance. Believe it or not, I was just like you before I started jogging at home. Now I can run three to four miles without breaking a sweat because I worked up to it and jogged at home/around my neighborhood.

MOD MOD MOD- I have a question. I am not overweight but I would like to lose 5-10 lbs before next Spring Break so I can wear a bikini. I need help starting off this "journey" to a better fit me, Help please?




Here you go! http://www.girlslife.com/category/get-fit-fast.aspx Just remember it's great to be healthy, but don't overdo it. Look up a BMI calculator, find out whata healthy weight is for your height, and stick to maintaining that. Looking good in a bikini doesn't mean you have to lose weight.
