Just think of yourself as lucky because my Granmother has liver and 2 different heart problems and now she might be out of a job and the doctors arent doing anything but trying to figure things out to do for her but by doing nothing at all they are just signing her death certificate!!!

Also i'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa. My grandpa died 3 years ago and i still cry about it today. Hopefully your grandma feels better make sure to help her grieve and let her know its okay.

last summer i overheard my parents talking about my gramma moving into a seniors appartment.This scared me because shes been my next door neighbor for my whole life.A couple months later she decided she would go and i was soooo sad.the night i found out i ran to my parents and cried for like an hour.my gramma and i were really close but as her moving day came closer we started drifting apart.shes been gone for a couple of months now and ive only seen her twice since her move!i really miss her because i used to visit every day and now she lives almost an hour away!!!!ive tried emailing her but its so different-she has a facebook but hasnt touched it since january.How can i get together with her-shes one of the closest people to me and now shes gone-its really hard-what should i do?

Hey girl,

You just have to be a little bit more proactive to keep your relationship strong! I'll bet she has a phone... why can't you call her? Make it a point to call twice a week and talk about how things have been going with school and friends, and she can tell you what's new with her. You can also try asking your parents if there's any way you can go visit more often. It isn't as easy as having her next door, but remember that this is making her life much easier so it's worth the adjustment period

dear mod, whenever im with my dad, all he does is complain and talk trash about my mom. He talks about finances and stuff that i can't help. he always says "you know?" and even when i tell him theres no way i could agree with him, he still continues. When he brought up the past, i actually burst into tears. I had no idea i would do that. I don't know how to tell him to stop, and he wont take a hint. please help! :/

Hey girly girl, you definately need to talk to your dad, just the two of you, and let him know how uncomfortabel you feel when he talks about your mom like that. He should respect you enough to understand...

MOD MOD! well in august my grandpa passed away and lately every night i have been talking to him (in my mind before i sleep). It makes me feel happy but i always end up crying a little. He was my favorite grandpa and i loved him more than you would think. I also love my grandma a lot but she really seems very depressed, how can i help her? Also how can i make myself a little less sad at nite? Thanks

Think about all the wonderful memories you had together. Make arts and crafts for your grandma she is probably lonely. Try to call her and visit her as much as possible because thats what she will value the most Always show her your support!
