Do I have a mustache?

Some people say I'm growing a mustache. I'm not really, but there is just a very faint dark line above my upper lip. Does that...

MOD MOD MOD!!!!!!!!!!! Usually when i went to school people would say i have a mustache and laugh and talk about me. It bothers me cause my sisters said if i shave it, it will come back hairier.

Hey girlie,

Your sisters are
right—unless you have a medical condition, shaving your face is not a good
idea. I would talk to your mom about waxing or bleaching, either at home or at
a salon. There are a lot of over-the-counter options that will make the hair
less noticeable!

i have the mustache problem and this guy next to me(really annoying, rude and copies my work!)when we fight he keeps on pointing out that i have a mustache and when he does that i want to cry! what can i do?

Hey girlie, talk to your parents about bleaching or waxing the hair above your upper lip. It'll be less noticeable and make you feel more confident.

MODMODMOD!!!!
everyone at my school is making fun of me because i have a "mustache"!!! Its really embarassing and it makes me feel like an unwanted freak. what should I say to get them to stop thats not too weird?

Hey girlie! It sounds like these kids are being bullies -- if this continues you should talk to your school consular and see if they can help. We all have little things about ourselves that we don't like, but we can't always change them and we just have to learn to love them! Good luck!

MOD,
All the guys in my homeroom at school are making fun if me because I " apparently" have a mustache. I bleach it but it looks weird after because my skin gets all yellow on the upper lip, and I'm terrified of waxing! What can I do?!

Hey girly girl! These guys sound like total JERKS! Please, please don't let them get to you, because they're not worth your time. If you do want to do something, I'd recommend waxing. It's scary at first, but I promise, you'll get used to it soon enough, and it won't be so bad anymore. I'd definitely get it done at a salon though, by a professional for your first few times...

Okay, so I have a mustache problem. My upper lip has a noticeable amount of black hair. I know it probably won't grow any more, but it bothers me, and a couple of people have pointed it out, too (not kidding, people have actually said, "You have a mustache."). I'm in sixh grade and I want to get it waxed -my sister did when she was my age- but my mom says I can't. What to do, what to do...

Hey babe,

Give it some time, then approach your mom about it. Explain to her calmly how it makes you feel. Tell her people have pointed it out, then tell her exactly how you would feel better after getting it waxed. Assure her you'll pay for the waxing yourself and all she has to do is say yes (like she did for your sister). Ask her what her concerns are - and then address each of them maturely with a reason why she's wrong. She may still ask you to wait, but discussing the situation calmly will make a big difference and let her know exactly how important this is to you.

I want to start shaving my armpits. I hate wearing anything that exposes them because I don't want people to see my hairy armpits. I want to do it soon because i'm going to be going to a lot of batmitzvahs this year which means sleeveless dresses. Plus it's going to be spring soon. I'm sort of uncomfortable asking my mom about these things so how should I ask. and when?

Just bring it up! Tell her how youre uncomfortable and want to start shaving because its about time. I bet she'll be perfectly fine with it Smile xoxo kerra

MOD MOD MOD i have some lightish brown hair above my lip so I bleached it, but it is still visible. the problem is not the color, but the light reflects off of the blond hair and it shines. I do not want to remove it because it will keep coming back. What do I do???

Hey girl, I'm not really sure what to suggest!  If you already bleached it, that might be the best thing you can do.  I'm guessing it's really not as noticeable as you think (blondes have the same prob, too!).  As long as you used the bleach properly (like, not leaving it on too long), I think that's the best thing, if you don't want to remove it or leave it natural.  xoxo

I ahd hair growing like a mustache and ppl were not exactly making fun of me at school but liek sum ppl were (classmates) so i shaved it with like a regular armpit/leg shaver. WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN????? im like so scared cuz they say that it grow even thicker....help!
thanks
-jenni

Hey girl, it'll grow back, but you can always shave it again. What I'd suggest doing, however, is using a face bleach kit: Sally Hansen has one, for example. It's much gentler for your hair.
