I'm dating my younger brothers good friend(he's my only like 6 mo. younger than me) ...my brother knows but its sooo awkward cause like i hardly even can talk to my bf without my whole family teasing me! its really terrible. we never go anywhere together and my mom would freak if he came to my house to see me not my lil bro. also I'm pretty good friends with my bfs older sis (we're all on a swim team together) so idk its just kinda awk. but i really really like him!!!!!!!!! what should i do?!?!

Does your mom know that you're dating him? If you're really into him, I think you should stay with him - since you just started dating, the teasing will die down soon, and everyone will get more comfortable with your relationship. MOD!!! My BF and I have been going out for about 5 months now and I can tell him anything. I know that he had trouble opening up to people, no matter how close he is to them, family included, and I'm not sure what to do about it. He always says how much it bothers him and he wishes he could share but he cant. and when he does share at all he gets frustrated and then the most random things come up. Im not sure what to do anymore.... please help.




Hey girl!

If it's hard for him to open up, don't force it! If you force it he'll only get more uncomfortable, angry, or maybe even sad.  Clearly there's some touchy subjects that he doesn't like talking about.  Try dancing around the subjects you want to know about, lightly touch on them and try to get some little answers to slip out. But not enough to upset him again. Good luck!

MOD!!! Where I live its REALLY cold in the winter and my bf and I are getting tired of just going to movies or hanging out at one of our houses all the time. Any suggestions for something new? Hey girlie! For it being cold outside, have you every tried to partake in winter sports such as skiing or ice skating? I just went snowboarding last Thursday and had the BEST time, plus a great workout! As for your bf, I'm sure he would love to meet all your siblings. I have a couple of friends who are only childs and they always talk about how they wish they had siblings, hence why they always like to be around my brothers since they can get in on that sibling bonding. Invite your bf to dinner - I'm sure he'll LOVE it!

MODMODMOD So I found the perfect guy. I know everyone say that, but really. He holds my hand around his friends, sticks up for me if someone makes fun of me, tells me I'm beautiful and pretty, not hot or any other vulgar comments. He has nice friends and takes our relationship slow. He is such a gentleman, he kisses my hand when he leaves for class because he knows I'm uncomfortable with kissing. He's nice to all my friends, he loves me, he's just perfect. so...why don't I love him back? He's the sweetest guy I've ever met, and I want to like him, but I just...don't! WHY???

 

Hey girl, Do you really not like him?  Because it sure sounds like you do!  It doesn't have to be "love" right away - that takes time to develop.  Talk to someone you trust about how you're feeling.  It sometimes helps to get a perspective from someone who knows you.  But if you decide you really don't have feelings for this guy, don't beat yourself up for it.  Just let him know in the nicest way possible.  xoxo
