ok i have 2 questions...what does mod mean and why do u have to be 18 to do it...?? and ok u kno how people usually tell u that when u r full(of food) stop eating, but what if it is like supper or lunchtime and u r not hungry...do u not eat because u r not hungry or should u eat...is it healthy to eat 3 meals a day???

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD After Changing for Gym I realized I'm not as skinny as some of the girls in my class! I love my body but I think i could shed a few extra pounds. Every Sunday My Gran cooks A HUGE dinner That could stop a whale in in tracks. This week I only had some green beans! She got really angry with me ANYWAY thats not the point ;) Is Lobster good for losing weight I'm thinking of having Lobster for Christmas dinner instead of turkey and ham! So Like.... Is It Healthy?

 

From what I know, lobster is a pretty nutritious food.  It has lots of protein and is low in fat.  It's important, however, to check with your doc before you try any kind of plan to lose weight.  You want to make sure you take good care of your bod as you are growing.  A super-duper huge meal may not feel healthy, but a plate of only green beans can leave ya lacking, too!  xoxo

MOD MOD MOD: Hey! okkay so i absolutely love your articles and magazine but i feel like alot of the things yall say we have already heard somewhere before. like we all know to drink water and eat the right portions. i think you need to dig deeper in your articles. then it wouldnt feel like we were having the sex talk (the one we've heard a million times). No offense to GL, but arent these like "eat right" and "stay slim" articles kinda having a negative affect? In my opinion, all of these could be contributing to girls not having a good body image because with so many articles out there about staying slim, who wouldn't move over and suddenly feel uncomfortable about being themselves!

Hey chica! As a substitution for soda, you could drink sparking, carbonated water. Coffee isn't too bad for you, just make sure that it's noto the fancy coffees all the time, like certain ones at Starbucks and other chains. And, they have low-cal, better for you, hot chocolate that you can stock up on at the store Smile

I am overweight I recently lost 20 lbs ...but i want to lose more weight. I have been in a weight loss slump for the past like 3 months because I can't get motivated to exercise and I just pig out and tell myself that I will start tomorrow. PLEASE PLEASE tell me how to get motivated to exercise.

Wow, congrats on the weight loss! It's great that you did it with exercise - you show everyone that healthy weight loss is definitely the way to go Smile It's normal to fall into workout/healthy eating slumps once in a while. What you need is a way to mix up your daily routine to make it interesting again! Find new recipes for healthy snacks, in case you're getting tired of your usual "healthy" foods. You can even enjoy junk foods every once in a while, but give yourself a LITTLE BIT and remind yourself not to go back for more. {Sometimes it's easier to indulge a tiny bit than deprive yourself 100% - you won't think about it as much after you've had a lil taste.} You can also work on new exercises and mix them into your old workouts to keep things exciting. Sometimes adding a new, simple stretch and riding the stationary bike instead of going for a jog will make a big difference!

dear mod,
My stomach is messed up! I was sick for about a year and put on extra weight. So far I've lost 30 pounds Smile I haven't gone on a diet, I just avoid a whole lot of foods. I don't mind not eating these foods, but I struggle to find things to eat. I'm lactose intolerant, I avoid salty food so I don't get bloated, and I avoid high sugar content, and caffeine. My stomach is out of wack too, and things like nuts and other sources of protein upset my stomach. What can I eat?

Hey girlie, the best idea is to see a doctor. A doctor can help you come up with a diet that won't upset your stomach and maybe figure out what's going on that your stomach is acting up so much.
