ONE OF MY FRIENDS DAD IS SEXUALLY ABUSING HER SISTER
SHE TOLD ME NOT TO TELL ANYONE, AND THIS IS MY LAST RESORCE
HER GRANDPARENTS GET THE KIDS IF HER PARENTS DIE, SO WOULD THEY GO THERE IF HER DAD GOES TO JAIL, HER SISTER WONT TELL ANYONE IN FEAR THAT HER SIBLING WILL END UP IN FOSTER CARE OR WOULD THEY STAY WITH HER MOM?




Hey girl, most likely they would stay with their mother, but that's up to a court to decide. However, if your friend's sister IS being sexually abused, she needs to speak up now and talk to a trusted adult.

Hey girly. It'll get better soon! My parents split when i was in 4th grade. I was sad at first, but then i realized i still get to see both my parents. Just remember, it wasn't your fault, and sometimes its easier on you to talk it out with a friend you feel really comfortable around. maybe a sleepover at her house, rent a couple of chick flicks and get some popcorn. talk it out, you'll feel better in the end. oh and remember, both of your parents still love you!

On Tuesday, I got a computer for my bday. The problem is, I hate it. I told my date all the problems I had with it, and he said that Macs had the same ones, but he was lying. Appearantly I have one of the best PCs, so any other PC I would get wouldn't really be good. He won't buy me a Mac, which is what I want. I really don't like my computer, or just PCs in general. I told him this, but he said he would "teach" me how to use it, but I already pretty much know. Is there anyway I can convince him to get me a Mac? Help? Thanks,

My mom and my dad are seprated and when i am with my mom it seemes like i don't exsisted sehe is always on her phone texting this guy James she says that they are just friends but i think other wise like one time it was just her and i (my brothers were in the desert) and she talked to him on the phone the whole night and left me to watch the movie by myself i just feel like she is forgetting that i am here and she doesnt really care about my feelings and how it affects me i have tried to make her stop by taking her phone or talking to her about it but she just ignores me and i feel like the only way to talk to her is to text her i just miss my old mom before all this we had a great relationship but now we dont we hardly talk when we are in the car together and when we go shopping i feel like i am alone cause she is texting him again what should i do??? i need some advise




Hey girl, I know it's hard when a parent is dating, but you are def taking some good steps by trying to talk to her. I'd suggest writing a letter to her and getting your feelings on paper. Leave it somewhere she can read it. Tell her in it how her actions make you feel alone and how much it hurts you. Remind her, more or less, that she's taking care of more than just herself: it's important she remember you and take care of you and your siblings too. She just might need a little wake-up call.

okay my parents are split and i just found out that my dads buissness isnt doing so well and that my mom might not be getting as much money on support checks because she is still looking for a job and i found out we might have to downsize to a house with only 2 bedrooms wich would meen someone wouldnt get a bedroom and i dont think my bro would live without one and my mom offered to but she would live there full time i am not sure if i should or could live without a room and i am scared we are getting poor what should i do?




Hey girl, I'm really sorry to hear that. These are some rough times. But I would stay positive! My friend went through the same situation. Her parents gave up their house, and she and her parents live together in a one bedroom. So really, they made two bedrooms out of a living room and the bedroom. And it's O.K., she still has a blast, loves her parents more than anything and still has people over. Maybe you can share with your brother for the time being? Think of it this way, you're lucky to have a roof to live under, if you decide not to bunk with your brother, it's okay, you can make a room wherever you sleep. Make it your little space! =] Good luck girl, stay positive!

MOD! MOD! MOD! MOD! I'm 12 years old and today at school my BF and his friend made a bet that if my BF's friend won the race my BF would have to kiss me!!!!! I'm super scared cuz he is going to kiss me!!! I don't know if I want him to kiss me though. What should I do????




Hey girlie. I think you should tell him that you don't want your first kiss to be like that. Be honest and speak up for yourself, girlie. You will be glad you did.

MODMODMOD so I just found out today that my mom is my dad's second wife (the hard way, by looking through old church directories). I feel really betrayed and angry and confused. He never said anything, which makes it even more complicated. Why did he never tell me? How can I not be mad at him?




Hey girlie. I know this is hard to hear. But remember that your parents are human too and they handle things the best way they know how. Try to realize that there is probably a reason why they didn't tell you yet. Respect that and think about it before questioning them about it. I promise--it's much better to reflect. Then, if you feel the need, sit down with your parents and discuss it with them calmly. NO yelling or accusations.

MOD ok well my older sister is a little on the abusive side. In 3 days I got 2 black eyes, a bruise across my nose, and a fat lip for no reason. To make it worse both of my sisters are constantly telling me that I can die and noone would care. I have talked to my mom about it but nothing has been done to stop it. What should I do?

 

 

Hey chica! That's absolutely not right. No one should have to go through that at the hands of anyone... let alone their own family members. I would try talking to a guidance counselor at school. Or, maybe next time, threaten to call the police and report the assault. That might scare them!

Hey babe my parents are split as well. It sucks, not gonna lie. Mine got separated in August and I was in bad shape after cuz it was totally unexpected. However, after talking to friends who have gone through the same thing and seeing a counselor for a bit, I'm back on my feet. Honestly, it does get better. Slowly it's easier to talk about and you become more comfortable with the subject.

Hey girl my parents are spilt too, they have been since i was in 4th grade (im in 8th now) and i know how hard it is. usually people will be considerate about it and not ask, but sometimes they do and i know how hard it is to deal with that, even though its been a long time for me and im ok with the whole situation. u just gotta remember that they have the best interests in mind trying to ask you about it and see how you are feeling, and that if you give them an answer, any answer, even just a "hes doing fine." then change the subject, then they should get the idea. hope this helps and if you need someone to talk to or some support just post on my profile Smile

Hey girlie! A popular job among girls your age is babysitting for parents are always looking for a way to make time for themselves and are willing to pay big bucks for someone to look after their kids while doing so. You can also start your own business whether it would be dogwalking or snow shoveling. Just remember that adults are always busy and will pay you to do the small tasks that they don't have time for, so if you can make a business out of that, your golden. Good luck!
