Losing animals is so sad! I don't want to have pets because I am scared of the day when they are going to die. One of my teacher's dogs died a few months ago and her daughter found their dog laying on the floor dead this made me almost cry.

i recenly had a little gray cat i called smokey die. i was heart broken. i didnt wear makeup for like a couple months cause i was afraid i would randomly start crying in school. she wasnt even a year old yet!! its been some months now and i can talk about her without crying or stuttering. my advice is to keep praying. if deep down you love her and know that she is a fighter she might make it. and if she does die my advice would to get a new pet. mabye a cat or different species to devote your time to so that you arent thinking about your dog. it works for me but it may not work for some people. good luck!

I had a cat that was like my best friend. he was my first pet since i was 5. i loved him so much and he was with me when i moved. i loved him sooo much and i still miss him alot. I cried and cried and realized crying won't fix anything. I now have 2 dogs but when i think about my cat i cry but they are there to comfort me. its really hard to lose your best friend( harder then everyone thiks) but you have to move on.if it gets really bad( like cutting into your life bad) then see a counsler or talk to your parents, trust me they understand Even though it seems like life really sucks right now, it will get better.

I sooooo no how you feel. I came home from school one day in November and my dad told me that my dog died. She was 16 and we had her since before I was born. Its been really tough and now I'm at that stage where I want another dog. My bdays Tuesday and a dog is all I want. My dad says yes but my mom says no=( I get soooo lonely though BC I loved her solo much. I said we were sisters so its reallly hard.

We had a 4 month old kitten that just suddenly died from thickening of the heart,we buried her in the back yar,we old had her 2 months but I didn`t stop crying for weeks. We now have a 8 month old cat who`s sweet. But I`ll never forget Ginger,I still cry about her. 1.think of your crush 2.make a heart with your hands 3.then kiss your hands while still making the heart 4.then put the heart where your real heart is 5.tomorrow your crush will ask you out 6.this will only work if you post this to your favorite article

I recently went through this, still am with our family dog of 6 years. Buster was actually like the dog featured in the picture. He got hit by a car at the beginning of December. We loved him a lot but he was a runner, and it was bound to happen. I feel bad, but I've got past the crying, and it's starting to get better, he was an older doggie turning 10 this year and we gave him a wonderful life. I've also had to put animals down and that is the worst too. You just have to remember that they are pets, they are members of the family but you can't get too attached, they never live as long as you.

Hey! I know exactly how you feel: I had known our dog ever since I was born. A few years ago he had devoloped this cancerous looking lump, and over the years it juts got bigger and bigger, until it was as big as your fist or more. I don't think it was cancer, but I don't know what it was, but he was getting really sick, and this recent October we had to put him down. before we put him down we gave him a hamburger from Mcdonalds, because he was normally forbidden to have such foods. Me and my dad went to the vets office and waited for the doctor. I had never seen an animal being put down so I didn't know what to expect, and I have to say it was one of the hardest things I had to do. When we buried him we put a few of his loved toys with him. I hope that if you have to go through that you will be prepared when the time comes. Wish you the best
