MOD MOD MOD!! Ok my hair is SUPER fine. So when I curl my hair it does NOT stay curled for like 10 - 15 min.! I even bought a hair spray that is supposed to hold your hair based on wht u want when u curl ur hair. And guess wht! It still doesnt work! Frown plz help!

 

Hey girly, I would talk to a hair stylist. They will probably have the best suggestions for your hair. My roommate has thin hair too, and when she curls her hair she never uses a curling iron, she puts hot rollers into her hair, so try that. Hope this helps! Smile Smile

My hair used to be very curly! But my hair has grown sososo much that the volume is weighing down the curls and making it straight. I want my curls back I've tried curling it but it never seems to work is there another solution?




Hey girlie. Try using products like mousse and hairspray to help with the curls.

Hey mod whenever I take. Shower and get out my hair has a weird texture. When I go to blow dry it the top by the roots gets all greasy and gross. I've tried not drying it but then it smells weird. What should I do?!?

 

 

Hey chica! I'd try a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. And, make sure that you're not using too much conditioner ... that can weigh your hair down and make it look greasier Smile

i want pretty and big curls (like miley cyrus'). i don't want to curl my hair and putting it in rollers is too hard. i've tried to put it in a bun after a shower, but it takes a long time to dry. how do i get curls that are easy and fast.




Hey girl,

Unfortunately, aside from braids and buns after a shower, your only options are a curling iron or rollers. Using them once in a while won't hurt your hair - just be sure to use a conditioner in the shower and practice to do it right!

Hi Chica,

Hair dying can be tricky. You can buy semi-permanent hair dye that will fade out, but sometimes those will still leave color in. But your mom is right, it usually has to grow out, before the color is completely gone. I have never dyed by hair before with an at-home kit, so I don't have too much experience with this or advice. I would also talk to your hairdresser to see if he or she has any recommendations for semi-permanent hair dye. Good Luck!

I have light brown hair and I have never dyed it before, but I really want to turn the under color (or just a streak or something!) purple. Me and my sister went to the neareset drug store and found some purple semi-permanent hair dye from a brand called Splat.
When I asked my mom if I could dye my hair, she said no because it would never fade out and I would have to grow it all out before it disappears. I don't want that to happen, I wanted it to eventually just fade out (like after a month or two!).
Is that true? And do you know of any companys that sell purple hair dye that just fade out like how I want? Thanks SO much!

Well that cannot be the only solution! Have you ried flat ironing it? If you get a good, may be a bit pricey, flat iron, you can't get burnt inless you touch the hot parts in between. Hope this helps!

Hey Maddie,

Ponytails are awesome go-to hairstyles, but you can definitely mix things up a bit. Try using a pretty scarf headband to dress up the normal ponytail. To stay away from the ponytail, try putting your hair half-up half-down. You could also ask mom or a friend to do a braid in the back - it controls like a ponytail but is a lot more flirty and fun Smile

Hey girlie. Make sure you blowdry your hair after you wash it. Make it as big as possible. Then trying curling it with a curling iron. Do not straighten your hair before curling! If this doesn't work, ask your mom to help you put your hair up in curlers before you go bed. Then, after sleeping with curlers all night, your hair will bounce in the morning. Use a good hairspray to keep your new curls in tact.

I have super super thick hair, lucky me, and its straight. I feel like the only thing i can do to it to have it down is to flat iron it. Even though i try really hard to curl it, mind you i have tried everything imaginable, my hair falls flat in 20 minutes max. Any ideas?

I have kind of big ears that stick out, since my hair is really fine and really really straight. How can I style my hair so that my ears don't poke through? Usually I wear my hair in a ponytail because my ears don't seem huge like that, but I don't want to wear it like that every day. Thanks!




Hey girl, you could try wearing your hair down without pushing it behind your ears or half-up, half-down as a compromise with the ponytail.

Hey girlie. Try looking out for products that say "for oily hair" on them. Those should help. Also, try to not condition it as much. That could help.

Not that I dont like my hair because I love it but one of my friends has the best looking hair, its like every time we are together her hair is perfect and people notice. Mod mod mod! My hair sort of falls flat, yet poofy all the time. Curling doesn't help, it just makes it poofier. how do i make it look better down? i always keep it in a pony most of the time cuz its unmanageable.

 

 

Hey girly girl! I'd try using a round brush to dry it with in sections. Then, go over it quickly with a straightener, and finally put it in some hot rollers (hot curlers). Leave the rollers in for about a half hour, and blast with a shot of hot air, and maybe a spritz of hairspray, before taking out. Then, run your fingers through and shake it around. My hair is super curly, and that's what I do. It works great! Smile

Hey girlie! The best type of curling iron depends on many factors: thin or fine hair calls for a smaller iron, whereas thicker hair can use a larger barrel and so on and so forth. Also, material is important: ceramic helps to maintain moisture, whereas metal can make the hair appear dry. It all comes down to your hair type Smile

I curled my hair today! How ironic!
I use a flat iron. Main reason being because it's easy to have one tool for everything, but partly because its much easier than using a curling iron. You can also hold open the clamp and wrap the hair around it for Taylor Swift like curls. If you don't know how to use your flat iron for curling your hair, there are about a gazillion Youtube vidoes on it. It takes a while to get down but its really simple and more fun that using a curling iron. ;)

hey! the answer's simple: get your hair cut (just 1/2 an inch or so) every month. it'll keep your hair healthy and actually speed up the growing process. good luck!

I have a really ugly mixed shade of blonde hair that is super curly in some areas, straightish in others, and wavy in the others. Every where is super frizzy. My hair reaches right above my chest, when not straight, and it has been that legnth for the past three years and I dont have any bangs. It hasn't grown at all D: Everyone at school has long hair but me! Everyone makes fun of me for it and it really makes me have no self confidence about myself. My family can't afford extensions or a Brazilian blowout. How can I cut and style my hair to look better?




Hey girl, I'd try using a straightener and straightening shampoo. It may help control the texture a bit more and straightening your hair will make it look longer.

I have curly, brown, blond, copper-y colored hair. I have a little bit of natural highlight and lowlight to my hair. But I want to try highlights. Should I wait until summer? And what colors should I get? I don't want to emphasize the red in my hair. Thanks!




Hey girl, I think when it comes to highlights, it's all about what looks natural. Products like Sun-In let the sun naturally cause highlights in your hair. Should you go to a hairdresser, I'd ask her advice. Be sure to go for a color that's similar to the tones already in your hair.

i DON'T WANT TO SOUND RACIST BUT this seems like it would work for a caucasian person. They normally have a super silky and smooth hair texture. My hair is more coarse. How would i curl my hair with it having the texture it does?




Hey girl, you don't sound racist; that's a legit concern. I have a friend with coarse hair and her hair curls just fine with a curling iron too. It should work for both hair types.
