Avoid mindless, unhealthy munching (like pounding a bag of BBQ chips) by swapping in these better-for-ya treats.

MOD MOD MOD I'm trying to eat better, so what types of food should i eat? do i get rid of all sugar/candy/soda also? Thnx soooo much!



Hey chica! You don't have to totally get rid of all junk, but I'd stear clear of it maybe 90 percent of the time. Eat well 6 out of 7 days a week. Try to eat lots of fruits and veggies, and unprocessed foods. No fast foods. Try cooking at home! It'll be fun to learn. Eat lots of protein, like fish and chicken, too Smile

At lunch, my friends will steal practicly all my food and eat it themselves. Im a little underweight so I'm trying to eat more but when they steal my food I cant! I try to tell them to stop but they just keep stealing it! They steal my lunch box and just eat whatever they want! After soccer practice, they will steal whatever I didnt eat and will just leave me with a few pretzels or somethinFrown Help!


Hey girlie -- you need to pull them to the side and explain to them that it upsets you when they take your food and they wouldn't like it if you did the same to them, day in and day out. If they don't listen, do not eat with them -- they should catch on quickly

I posted a comment earlier about how I don't know how to talk to my mom about how I am uncomfortable in a bathing suit and the moderator said "Bring it up to your mom and tell her that you want to go to the pool party but you don't feel comfortable doing so." but I am still uncomfortable talking to her about it.

Bonjour chicky! Is there another member of your family that you can feel comfortable talking to about these issues such as a sibling or your dad who can tell your mom for you? Sometimes when I have trouble saying something to my mom, I'll tell my dad since he usually cool about these things. Then he'll tell my mom what I needed to say in a way that will help her understand my situation. That way there is no awkward confrontation issues and the other parent still gets the message

Hi!!! I was just wondering what colors look pretty on fair skin? what colors would make me look tanner and would white make me look pasty?? Thnx!!!!!!

Hey girl,

If you have dark hair, you should be fine wearing white. If you're blonde though, try to avoid it! Instead, go for darker pastels (dusty pink, faded navy, mint green, etc.) and gem tones. Avoid yellow and purple, but go for teal and red. Also, green especially will look great with fair skin!

Okay so at my school, we do something like got to a movie or something at the end of every quarter in the school year. The next trip is a pool party. I am uncomfortable in a bathing suit (even a 1 piece) at this point and I only have a month. Also I don't know how to talk to my mother about it and I don't need to talk to my doctor. Anyway, any advice???

Hey girlie. Bring it up to your mom and tell her that you want to go to the pool party but you don't feel comfortable doing so. See if she has any advice. Also, check out some of the GL fitness links. Good luck.

I have a hard time eating correctly. Each time i see something sweet i just have to eat it! And i try to workout but i end up giving myself excuses not to. Also i'm not really overweight but i'm not really skinny either. Please help, Kayla

Hey girlie,

Try to figure out why you may be constantly wanting to put food in your mouth.  Are you trying to mask other feelings with food? Learn to think of food as fuel for your body and don't think of eating as something to do when you are bored or sad.  Practice having a healthy relationship with food and your body--listen to it!
