My hands always sweat when I’m nervous. I'm worried a guy might be turned off…

Hey girly! It happens to me A LOT and i want it to stop. I figure if a guy likes me, then he'll like my clammy hands too!

No matter how much deodorant I put on, a lot of the time I end up having wet pitted shirts. I'm embarrassed to lift my arms because the sweat is visible on the shirts. This happened whether or not I'm especially hot.




Hey girl,

At your local drugstore, you'll be able to find something called "clinical strength" deodorant. It's a more powerful deodorant that is recommended by lots of doctors for overactive sweating and other pit problems Smile Give it a try! If that doesn't work, try asking your doctor for suggestions. There are even stronger deodorants out there that they could write prescriptions for if they think you need it!

MOD MOD MOD! This is really embarrassing and I have never told anyone except my mom but, like i cant wear T shirts because i get like "sweat rings" around them and i wear deoderant all the time but it never helps and its really embarrassing. Im a normal girl and that is a problem that is not normal. I have to wear jackets to like school and i want to stop that but i cant because of the sweat. so please please help! :\




Hey girl,

You could try using more powerful, "clinical strength" deodorants to control the sweat. They're available at drugstores over-the-counter (which means you don't need a doctor's prescription), but you can also get even more powerful formulas by asking your doctor. If you don't want to do that, try layering with a thin undershirt or small tee under your actual shirt. It's a lil inconvenient, but layering is totally in right now - and that extra layer of fabric might help absorb most of the sweat for ya!

Hey girly! I'd load up on lean proteins ... like fish and chicken. And, pair that with some veggies and a good carb. Like, a sweet potato. Also, load up on fruits as much as you can Smile

I think I have some kind of eating disorder. I over eat all the time and then feel really bad about all the food I just ate. I don't resort to throwing it up or anything. I'm not overweight but I feel like I'm going to gain a lot of weight if I can't stop this habit. How can I stop?




Hey girlie,

Sometimes our emotions can cause us to do a lot of mindless eating.  Figure out what might be causing you to reach for food...are you stressed about something?  Is someone bothering you?  Are you unsatisfied with something in your life?  Learn to deal with those issues instead of using food as a "Band-Aid."  Remember that eating a lot of food will only make you feel sluggish...and think of food as fuel for your body!  Eat healthy and balanced meals...and go for a run or something if you are always tempted when you're around food.  You can always try popping in a piece of gum  or brushing your teeth to avoid overeating too.  Trust me, you can overcome this...just have self-control and learn to deal with other issues that may be triggering it!

i dont have very many friends and the freinds i do have never really want to hang out and my best recently decided she doesnt like my personality and wouldnt talk to me for a day she started talking to me but still says she isnt my friend i dont have anyone to hang out with on the weekends any advice on meeting new people or finding things to do on the weeekends




Hey girlie -- you should try talking to different people in your classes. That way, you'll find people you have something in common with and talking to them won't be as intimidating as the cafeteria atmosphere Smile

I'm not popular, but my friend is and she invited me to her bday party. Its gonna be me and a bunch of popular girls. i don't care very much about being popular but i still want them to like me. i am nervous they are gonna think they are so much better than me and ignore me. what should i do?

Bonjour chicky! If you really want to impress these girls, all you have to do is show confidence. Like tigers, popular kids can smell fear and will attack you if you show it. But if you act like you belong with them and treat them like equals (and not royalty) then you will blend in perfectly. Just add to the conversation when needed and don't be afraid to give your opinion on any discussions they may have. Remember, you have every right to be there as they do and as long as you keep believing that, you'll be fine Smile
