MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD i'm babysitting and i need cute and fun ideas to keep 3 girls busy 2 of them are eight and one i 9 please help

Hey girlie,

There are lots of things to do! Try baking cookies with them and giving each of them a responsibility while you mix the batter, spoon out the dough, etc. (Obviously, you take care of the oven stuff.) Rev up your imagination and offer to play house with them, where you dress up and have baby dolls and go to each other's "houses" for tea or dinner. They'll love that! You could also play fashion designer, where you all draw clothes and pretend you're working in an office. You could give them newspaper to crumple up into balls and have an autumn "snowball" fight. You could also play lots of board games too Smile

Ok so I'm 11 (12 in January!) and I'm really mature and smart for my age. I want to be a babysitter (I've taken the course too) but there are a few problems. #1 I live on an acreage 10 minutes out of town and have no older siblings that could drive me or give me any babysitting experience. #2 I'm really super short (4 feet 8 inches Frown ) so I'm not sure people would take me seriously. #3 There's a LOT of competition in my town. And #4 My mom won't let me put up posters. PLEEEEAAAASSSE HELP!!!! thx Smile

1) Is there any public transportation you can take? If not you just need to arrange your appointments around times when your parents or your clients can drive you. 2) If you feel this way don't let it show. How are customers supposed to believe in you if you don't? 3&4)Ask your mom  if she will help get the word out to some of her friends

Here are some things to do with kids you babysit:
coloring books
bug hunts
Scooter/bike rides
play games like telephone or duck duck goose
ask them what they want to do
Barbies or anything in their toy room
Movies are great(especially for bedtime)

MOD MOD MOD MOD I am babysitting 3 school-aged girls (ages 8, 9 and 10) and I have no idea what games to play with them. Mostly, because I have to babysit them for 8-9 hours EVERYDAY 5 days a week! What am I supposed to do for 8 hours with 3 girls. What if they get bored? I need a little help!

Hey girly,
You might want to run an online search for fun games to play with these girls. Some board games is another good alternative. You can also try something like baking cookies or brownies and then decorating them.

I think the right age for starting babysitting is 12 or 13. That's mine and my mom's opinion.

Mod mod mod. hey mod, I need some ideas for what to do to entertain a 6 year old boy that I'll be babysitting tomorrow night. He pretty much likes everything, but he really likes to do crafts and he's obsessed with video games and star wars, but I don't plan on playing xbox and watching starwars, so do you have any ideas for what we could do and what I can do to keep him away from the TV? And idk if going outside will be an option because it's supposed to storm where I live. Thanks so much in advance! Your guys advice always really helps! Thanks!!

Hey girlie! Try doing crafts with him, since everything else seems out of the question. That way, he's kept from the TV and there's no need to go outside if it storms. You could also try playing games with him that you think he'd be interested n (that don't involve the TV or video games) Smile

How are you?
How old should you be to be a babysitter?
How do you get the word out?
Have a good dayy (=

Hey girly girl! I'm great, and I hope you are too Smile

I don't think there's a set age for being a babysitter, however, I'd say whenever you feel comfortable, and whenever the kids' parents feel comfortable hiring you Smile

I CANNOT STAND people who snore!!! i don't know why?! but it is the most annoying sound ever! when ever my sister snores i have to wake her up or listen to my ipod. and when my dad falls asleep in his chair i have to get up and leave the room. it makes me not want to spend the night at friends houses. IT BUGS THE CRAP OUT OF ME. i try to focus on other things but cant! sometimes i keeps me up all night and i get very cranky and i dont know what to do about this pet peeve?

hey! well it will probably always annoy you unless you just decide not to let it

If the parents give you permish, lemonade stands are great! The kids I babysit loved having a lemonade stand last year, and we stayed out there for about 4 hours selling lemonade and cookies. Smile It was fun for me, too.

i want to babysit and put up a neighborhood ad in my neighborhood's paper, but there's this girl my age who kinda beat me to it. i really, really, really want to babysit, but don't want to steal her business or anything. how else can i get the word out to people i'm available for babysitting? without doing anything embarassing or obnoxious? thanks!

Hey ask your parents to tell their friends you've started babysitting Smile
